Nestled within the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park, Rogil is a serene village in the Algarve's Aljezur municipality, offering a tranquil escape from the bustling tourist hubs. With a population of approximately 1,100 residents, this low-density area is ideal for those seeking peace and a connection with nature.

Rogil is renowned for its proximity to some of Portugal's most unspoiled beaches. Just a short drive away lies Praia do Vale dos Homens and Praia da Carreagem. Just a bit further, you'll find Praia da Amoreira and Praia da Arrifana, two stunning beaches famous for their excellent surf conditions, perfect for both beginners and experienced surfers.

The village itself is characterized by its agricultural heritage, with fertile lands producing a variety of crops. Local markets, such as the Rogil Monthly Market held on the fourth Sunday of each month, provide an opportunity to experience the region's produce and crafts .

Rogil is best explored on foot, but to reach nearby beaches, hiking trails, and towns, a car is recommended. Lagos is a 50-minute drive (60 km) south, while Sagres is just over an hour away (75 km). Faro Airport is 1h40min (120 km) by car, and Lisbon Airport is about 3 hours (230 km). Public transport is limited, so renting a car offers the best flexibility.
