Stay Away from this "Hideaway"!

I am writing to formally express my concerns and dissatisfaction regarding the condition of the rental unit located at Hideaway Ocean Breeze Way, which I recently paid in full in advance and found in unsafe and unsanitary conditions. First of all the unit it was rented to me was not even the same as showed in pics, I immediately notied a persistent and overwhelming moldy smell throughout the unit, indicating possible mold growth or a longstanding moisture problem. This raises serious health and safety concerns, especially for individuals with respiratory conditions.In addition, the cleaning standards were grossly inadequate. I discovered broken down food trays and utensils stored inside the cupboards, you claim is for "sanitary reasons"? These are Styrofoam food trays broken in half, not even plates The furnishings and interior items are in deplorable condition. The couches have visible cuts and stains, rendering them unsanitary and unfit for use. Multiple walls are stained and dirty, further highlighting the lack of proper maintenance and preparation prior to occupancy.Of particular concern is an exposed or damaged electrical outlet, which appears to be in unsafe condition, potentially posing an electrical hazard. This matter should be addressed immediately to ensure the safety of the unit’s future occupants. I ended up not staying at the location because of the stated concerns (pictures don't lie), contacted the owner and VRBO and they refused to reimburse me.

Great location

Short walk to the beach, museum, definitely recommend renting a golf cart to get around the island. Didn’t really use the kitchen during our 5 night stay. Great AC throughout. Big Mike’s conch stand has chairs and umbrellas for rent or bring your own towel for the beach and use shade if possible. Great price and location. Owner communicates via the message app. No complaints.

If you are looking for an authentic back in time non touristy experience This is the place to go This little apartment is homey and it's like you have your own private beach right out your door You will feel like you are part of the neighborhood It's not the Ritz folks but it's real. You feel like you might see Hemingway walking down the road If that's what you like, you will love it!

Large place and it was a good value, a little rough

It was a good deal and the location was perfect for diving, since we could walk to Neal Watson's dive center. The people of Bimini are awesome! The owner was very responsive and has a great attitude. AC was great, although we did not need it much in March. The bad, the shower had mold and mildew in one corner top to bottom. Shower curtain was dirty. We had a large rat as a roommate. Owner was very responsive and had someone leave 2 large glue strips outside for me and I placed them and I heard the rat scream and some banging in the kitchen for about 4 seconds while we were in bed. I went to look at the strip and it looked like the rat got a haircut, left a lot of hair on the glue strip but escaped. He did say he was going to investigate where it is getting in after we left, this was toward the end of our trip. Kitchenware and utensils are very sparse. TV was difficult to use. The internet connection was good enough. We watched shows on our tablet.

100ft walk to radio beach- pros & cons - highly recommend

Gilbert is an EXCELLENT host. We haven’t had a better one. The location is perfectly centered with easy access to everything you need. Highly recommend. There were a few things on the interior that could’ve had some attention to before arrival. But not consequential to this being a great place to stay. Recommend you get a cart from the one at the water station. You have to pick it up and turn it in. But it’s only $90/day and they take cards. others will charge you 100-110/day plus 30 in gas min 2 day rental. Go to big John’s, big game and see Kay- tell her Kandice sent you. Stop into the island house for gin and milk with Tonez. I95 is the late night life.

My time in Bimini

The property worked out fine for me but would have been a bit of a problem if the three adults had come as planned. The location is great for me, especially since I had rented a golf cart. I did a lot of cooking and must say that the frying pan is no good and should be replaced with a Teflon coated one. Otherwise cooking was OK. TV an other appliances were fine. . All in all, I enjouyed myself and the owner was very helpful.

A nice little Hideaway

The apartment was as expected and was across the street from a beautiful beach just steps away. The hosts were nice enough to let us do a late checkout due to leaving on the ferry later in the day! The house was clean and mostly everything we needed! The only thing that was different from advertised was the hair dryer. There was not one when arrived which was a bummer because I didn’t bring one with me, since the add said there would be one here. Other than that everything was as we had planned and it was nice location to be away from all the hustle and bustle of cruise ship/hotel crowds.

Unexpected Treasure in Bimini

This place was really unexpected! Just stumble on this and was blown by the cleanliness , hospitality and location. Steps away from the most amazing beach in Bimini. Well equipped. Gilbert and Ana went above and beyond to welcome! Soo close to the Big Game , Cj’s Deli and Radio beach! We felt super safe! Can’t wait to be back in a few months! Thank you for an awesome stay!
