Peaceful Location on Old Town

Cottage with furnished roof terrace with lovely sea views. Just on the top of the cliffs of Albufeira beach which is 5 mins walk away. A newly built harbour and marina is just 10 mins walk away. Lounge and dining room with kitchenette, shower room, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. Salgados Golf Club is just 15km away from the cottage and Vilamoura, famous for its immaculate courses, is just a 20 mins drive away.

Excellent séjour

La maison (Casa Do Avo) est très bien localisée (au calme) et très agréable avec une magnifique terrasse avec vue sur l’océan Tout le confort est apporté à cette location (équipement, literie, propreté à l’arrivée, accueil) On profite de la ville de Albufeira à pied (plages et centre ville très animé) Très bon séjour confortable et spacieux pour une famille de 4 Un léger bémol concerne le stationnement d’une voiture mais tout à fait possible si on veut affiner ses mollets

The place was clean and tidy. Lovely view from the balcony. Right near the beach. Beds were comfortable. Only thing was the aircon struggled to get below 24c in the bedrooms. And would have been nice to have had aircon in the lounge. But apart from that. I would return as lovely area And place.

Excellent location & property with great terrace

We had a great week at this cottage in old town Albufeira. A very well equipped kitchen allowed us to eat in often and the roof terrace with views of sea is excellent for sun bathing and meal times with sunshine from morning till night. The location for all the old town amenities is excellent too, however, should mention the lack of parking near by and the steep hill to the property.

The property was kitted out with everything we needed and more. The owner was most helpful and kind. The location was perfect for us as we had everything on the doorstep which made for a perfect holiday.

A Little Gem -

We stayed at the property for 7 days and it was wonderful. Superb location, near everything but also very tranquil. The property was lovely, clean and tidy and had everything you would need (toilet paper, shampoo, sun cream, washing up liquid, tea and coffee etc, and Filomena also left lovely biscuits and some delicious wine her that friend had produced. Had a great little terrace on the roof which had sun for most of the day (and lovely shade when needed!) with sun loungers, table and chairs, very handy washing line and a lovely view of the sea which is such a bonus. Thank you Filomena and your daughter for the the warm welcome and for the use of your lovely apartment for our week long holiday in Albufeira.

Heerlijk vakantiehuis met echt alles.

Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf. Eerst was ik een beetje scepties. Ik had over Homeaway wat slechte ervaringen gehoord in die zin, dat mensen op bestemming komen en het huis niet bestaat. Echter na een telefoongesprek met Homeaway werd mijn twijfel bijna helemaal weggenomen. Als je betaald via Homeaway dan is je koopsom beschermd. Mocht het huis echt niet bestaan dan zullen zij voor een ander passend huis zorgen. Maar terug naar het huis. Het heeft echt alles. Zelf strandlakens. Kluis, wasmachine, airco, oven, inductie, magnetron, toaster, koelkast en vriezer. In de vriezer ligt een koelelement. Handig voor in je koeltas. Mooi groot dakterras met uitzicht op de zee. Wij verbleven bijna 2 weken in deze woning en halverwege de week werd ons huis netjes schoongemaakt. Filomena is een aardige en behulpzame vrouw. Bij een vragen tijdens ons verblijf kon ik haar een sms'je sturen en kreeg altijd snel antwoord terug. In het kort ideale ligging en prachtig huis.

Perfect apartment

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was great, very quiet yet close to the beach. The apartment had everything we needed, and the roof terrace was an added bonus. I would love to stay again, and will certainly recommend it to friends and family. Filomena was very helpful, and made our arrival and departure extremely easy.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay at Casa Do Avo

My friend and I stayed here in May this year. The house is lovely, spotless and comfortable. very roomy and the sun terrace is fantastic. The kitchen has lots of equipment. The location is great, it is so near to the shops and restaurants, and the beach. Filomena welcomed us and showed us around. I would recommend it to everyone. We shall be back one day.

Great accomodation in a superb location.

Situated just next to the coastal footpath, high above the beaches, the property is close enough (4-5 minutes) to the Old Town and the tunnel to the beach (3 minutes) to make it a great base. However, it is still far enough away from the bars and restaurants to ensure you are not disturbed - it is not on a route used by people heading in and out of town and as such, you can expect peace and quiet in the evenings. The property has 2 large bedrooms with lots of wardrobe space, an open plan living / dining / kitchen area and then some steps up to the private sunny roof terrace, with its day long sunshine and sea views. Sun loungers, umbrellas all supplied. The bathroom has a good shower and is very clean. Unlike at many villas, all the extras you sometimes have to go and buy (toilet paper, soap, shampoo etc.) were there in abundance. Even sun cream. That was appreciated. The same can be said for the kitchen - rather than the usual empty cupboards, these were full of all sorts of things that you may need, from teas, coffee, sugar, herbs, cooking oil and lots more. There was plenty of cutlery, plates, cups, glasses, a large fridge and an excellent (and very clean) cooker. Even a coffee making machine and juicer. Rare to see in these properties. Within 2 minutes walk, there is a supermarket which stocks everything you are likely to need, no need for Lidl or Aldi which are a mile away. Very good, fast WiFi and a massive television. No parking nearby, so maybe not ideal if you have a car. Taxi from Faro is about 40Euro each way and can drop you off 30m from the door. Also, bear in mind this property is quite high above the old town and beach so be prepared to climb lots of steps to get home. Filomena was very professional and helpful from the first contact - she has a gem of a holiday home, we shall be back!

Very well equipped, comfortable house in a superb quiet location within easy reach of all amenities

This property is a real gem and a credit to the owner. The location is ideal with easy access to beach, restaurants, shops and transport. It comes very well equipped with just about everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cant wait to return as soon as possible. Our lasting memo of the property is the fact that it is in a beautiful situation yet so quiet and peaceful. Our holiday didn't start very well due to the collapse of Monarch Airlines the minute we arrived at the airport. A quick change of flights meant we started a day late but the kindness of Filomena the property owner enabled us to stay an extra day at the end. We are already planning our next visit which will hopefully be in the spring. Finally we can't emphasise how much the property contributed to a very enjoyable holiday.
