"The staff was AMAZING! Definitely eat at The Piper, breakfast was great! Loved the location and the room was very comfortable! "The staff at this hotel are amazing. Only thing is that the rooms could really use a deep clean. The bathroom was nice, but the bedroom/living area itself could really be deep cleaned. The carpet had stains. The sheets and blanket didn’t appear as clean as I’d like. The walls were dirty. The room had a strange odor. Other than that, wonderful hotel."

"This is an old hotel and so our room lacked outlets and charging ports, especially near the bed where you need them the most. It had great room-darkening drapes, though. The front-desk staff were not the friendliest or most helpful, but the shuttle drivers were very helpful. The restaurant is terrible and I can't recommend it. Poor food and worse service (grossly understaffed)."

"It not a good image when pulling into the gravel parking lot and it’s littered with trash. Lobby carpet, stairwell and hallway carpet was dirty. Staff leaves the laundry room door open all day so you can see a pile of dirty laundry almost reaching the ceiling (not kidding). The room carpet had a dirty feel with dust and crumbs in the edges of the walls. Beds were old and mattresses had a thin feel to them. Bathroom was clean and updated but the shower curtain rod was not anchored to the wall...

"Perfect proximity to the airport. COur room was clean and spacious. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was good but needed to be topped off and tidied by 8:30am.overall good stay"

"The room smelt like urine and the cleaner used to clean up dog pee stains, at least I hope it was dog pee. The rooms over looked borders homes with piles of garbage. The bathroom had a barn door right next to the bed and you could see a person on the toilet from all of the beds. Terrible hotel, I have stayed in motel 6’s that were better, way overpriced not worth it."

"I enjoyed my stay at this B&B. Its in a great location of Anchorage and close to the airport. They put out a bunch of snacks with a do it yourself breakfast as well. I would stay here again. "

"The AC unit in the room was very loud and whining. The shower was not maintained well and the shower door leaked and got the floor wet and had wall damage around the shower. The staff was very nice."

"I was exceptionally disappointed having paid $299USD for a room that looked like it was part of a horror film set. From blood splatter on the wall in the bathroom, two of three broken bathroom lights, black mold in the shower, busted blinds, squeaky beds and a horrid smell throughout. When I searched the day of my stay what the rate was, it showed $249CAD (almost half of what I was paying). The staff were of no help to remedy this situation or cancel our stay. "We loved everything! Pleasant helpful staff, beautiful full breakfast every morning until 9:30 M-F and breakfast until 10:30am Sat and Sun. Nice large laundry FREE for guests FYI Walmart is literally across the small road to buy trail size laundry soap. The front desk does offer laundry soap to buy but Walmart has it for only $1.17 a load when you go to the travel size section in Walmart.
