Penthouse perfect views, with AC, WiFi, and swimming pool!

Nahil 7 is a stunning 3 BR 3 BA penthouse located on the fourth floor of Nahil Condominiums. Nahil is one of Akumal’s newest buildings; nestled on the quiet edge of Half Moon Bay’s pristine beach while still being only a short walk from many of the local restaurants and boutiques. This location is excellent for views and convenience.

The condo sleeps a maximum of 6 adults and 5 children.

Not only is Nahil 7 very well located, but it is phenomenal from the inside as well. Contemporary and modern, this unit tastefully brings the beauty of the Caribbean inside through textiles, art, three terraces, and massive floor to ceiling windows that expand across the home.

The kitchen is beautiful with its unique jungle wood cabinetry. It is highly functional, and equipped with new stainless steel appliances including a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and blender. Off of the kitchen, the dining area will comfortably seat six people. The living area features a chic and comfortable white couch, a 55” Smart TV, and access to the unit's third terrace. The third terrace features an additional six person seating area, as well as two designer lounge chairs for enjoying the sunshine.

Nahil 7 has truly gone above and beyond in the amenities it offers. In addition to the wonderful place to call home, Nahil 7 offers a centralized cooling system with four thermostats, and privacy blinds available in every room. The building is only a short walk from some of our local restaurants like La Lunita or La Buena Vida and boutiques filled with treasures made by local artisans.

Great place to unwind, take walks and watch the ocean.

Family of 7adults enjoyed the bright decor, walks, friendly people and amazing view. The beach is not vast nor that walk friendly- the streets are great. We love to walk so opted out of golf cart. Bring water shoes for rough ocean floor. Condo was clean and efficient. Linens (including beach towels) were clean except for one stained towel. Bed comfort was fine. No dishwasher but we ate out. We patroned the restaurants w/in walking distance - tasty although a bit slow (it was holiday). Water dispenser provided was key. Unit layout was great w/enough space to relax, play games, enjoy the balconies etc. Maid service came every other day & washed towels in unit’s machine. Communication w/concierge was easy and mostly quick -so appreciated! One complaint: poor water pressure & lack of hot water. Our showers were short- we ALWAYS ran out of hot water. Used transport via concierge and arranged to stop and get snacks/drinks for fee. We know this area and would have chosen diff. The Ceadeau, was small, over picked. Outs drivers were courteous/patient. Taxis are WAY overpriced. We didn’t rent a car, but very doable. We snorkeled in the bay out front. Bought masks/snorkels at bodega for 30. Reserve cash to tip maid and maintenance. We love you Mexico!

Great 3 bedroom condo

The condo is situated pretty far back in the Akumal community, making it feel pretty safe. The view of the ocean is amazing. Everything has been carefully cleaned. We met the cleaning lady, and she was very nice and thorough. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans and utinsels. We prepared most of our meals and had all the basics we needed. The bathrooms were very clean the the water was warm. There is a washer/dryer that worked very well; we did a couple of loads of laundry on our last day before we packed all our swimming suits into a locked suitcase. The pool was beautiful and the beach was too. The entry is pretty rocky, so don’t expect smooth white sand as far as the eye can see, but we had no trouble getting the kids in the water. The sargasm washing up on the shore was much less on our beach than some that are further south that we could see from the balcony. We snorkeled and saw a few turtles and a lot of fish. We loved the stay and would like to go back sometime and would not hesitate to recommend this location.

Akumal dream condo

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful condo. It’s exactly as described in the listing; the pictures were accurate. The location in Akumal is perfect - close though to restaurants and shops to be convenient, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. We loved snorkeling in Half Moon Bay, directly out from the condo and eating dinner at delicious restaurants nearby. We’ll be back!

Quiet paradise

Great complex with friendly staff. Unit 7 is ideal! The quiet, quaint neighborhood of Akumal is just the spot to relax with all amenities within a short distance! Snorkeling out front in half moon bay was fun. The water is super warm. We would definitely come back.

Nice Stay

Despite the intermittent access to utilities and the daytime sound of construction the place was weathered but nice. The fact that the elevator didn’t work while the power was off caused us to have to hike up and down the three flight of stairs which caused my spouses hip to flair up in pain from a recent hip replacement. However the lack of access to water the last day of our stay was very disconcerting. We were unable to shower or even wash up and the toilet was gross due to inability to flush. Not the best way to end a stay! Were it not for the inconsistencies it would have probably been a Great stay.

Even better than it looks

This is the place to stay. The apartment is even nicer and cleaner than the pictures. The building is very clean. Right in front of the condos was the clearest part of the beach in terms of seaweed just naturally l which was otherwise everywhere. Staff rake the beach several times a day. The daily housekeeping was so nice to have. They provide water but no spices etc so you will need oils and salt pepper etc. The heat and humidity are rough on buildings and that was really hard to tell with the terrific Maintenence. Each bedroom has a beautiful view and it’s own bathroom!

Relaxing vacay!

Property was as described. Daily maid service was great to have. Location was awesome. Right on the beach. The on property management was super responsive. We had no issues at all. Beautiful location. Condo was well stocked. I would definitely shop in Playa before getting to Akumal as the little stores in the area have very little of what you would need if you plan to cook and eat at the condo. Plus they are a bit pricey. We went fishing thought the Akumal Dive Shop. They were great. We also rented a golf cart because it would be a long walk to town. Next time I might rent a car so you can see other sights. Otherwise, not much to do but relax in Akumal. We would definitely stay here again and we strongly recommend Nahil 7.

A View to Remember

We enjoyed a wonderful 5 nights at Nahil 7, overlooking a slice of heaven on Half Moon Bay. The condo has incredible views and is well situated to accommodate 6 guests. Staff at the building is warm and kind; maid service arrived daily. We would highly recommend a visit to this quant and charming town along the cost—particularly if you are looking to get away from the bustle of Cancun and places like that. Two wonderful (and very reasonably priced) restaurants within walking distance. As with all rental properties and particularly in a warm and humid climate, visitors and time begin to take their punishment. The unit is showing signs of wear. Sofa was torn in one place; pots and pans nearing their end-of-life, one of the main pieces or art work delaminating/cracking under an AC vent; silverware starting to disappear; and the gas stove only ignited with a candle lighter. Some TLC is needed. Lastly, hot water took several minutes to arrive at any given water outlet, and we could only operate one shower at a time. I suspect this is due to the instant hot water tank which takes time to start working—although, our general sense is that the unit is undersized. The elevator works, but does not tell you which floor you are on while it is moving up or down. We only used it for moving our luggage and groceries up and down.

Lovely condo - a great location and perfect for 3 couples or a family!

This is a lovely condo that lacks for nothing for a group of couples or a large family. The furnishings and linens were very nice and better than most condos that we have rented. The kitchen was sufficiently outfitted with cookware, dishes, utensils, appliances - everything we needed to prepare meals. The terraces are great spaces. Our disappointment with the property is that one is led to believe that the bay is perfect for swimming and snorkeling, only to find out that the water is only about 18 inches deep. It is way too shallow for swimming and snorkeling is almost impossible. Not to mention that the reef is dying and there were very few fish to see. The location is great but if you want a snorkeling vacation, I would go somewhere else.

Modern luxury in ideal location!

Just completed a 5 day stay with my family. The directions and information provided at the time of our booking were accurate and helpful. The condition of the property was pristine. Everything looked brand new and was very clean. In fact, I’m not even sure that some of the appliances had even been used yet. The decor was very modern and tasteful and there were ample supplies, amenities and utensils. Every room has huge floor to ceiling windows with amazing views. The owners provided snorkeling and kayak equipment, which came in very handy. The maid service was discreet and thorough, and we always had fresh towels and plenty of purified water. The internet and cable worked fine. We spent some time driving around Akumal looking for potential future lodging (or a potential investment), but we honestly could not find anything that we liked better than Nahil. It is superb by any standard, especially by what you would expect to find in Mexico. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the location of Nahil on the north end of the bay allows it to escape much of the sargassum that covers the rest of the Akumal beaches. Since the prevailing current travels north to south, the grass all tends to gather in the Southern curve of the bay. We had very little problems with it at the condo, but it was piled up, literally, 3-4 feet high just a couple hundred yards down the beach. The snorkeling right out the back door was amazing. We saw turtles, rays, octopus, eels, lobsters and dozens of species of fish. In addition, we were no more than a 10-15 minute drive from cenote/caves and jungle excursions, ruins, zip lines...you name it. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in this area!

Amazing Vacation

Nahil #7 was truly a beautiful condo that exceeded my families expectations. Super clean unit with amazing views. The great thing about the location is if the dreaded seaweed does hit the area the northern location of this complex seems to get very little accumulating on the beach. One thing that I do have to comment on for the traveler who has never been to Akumal, the people are truly wonderful!!!! We didn't cook once and enjoyed all the local restaurants at very reasonable prices. Tipping goes a long way so don't forget to tip your maid daily and the workers cleaning the condo area and you will be treated extremely nicely and they will go out of their way for you!!! Akumal is very safe, I felt embraced by all the locals and enjoyed my 10 days with just a golf cart and taxis gotten near the arches.

Bad beginning starting with check-in

Saw on a previous review that a guest had no hot water their entire stay. I thought I would be proactive and contacted the booking company before we went to Akumal. Was told that the problem was fixed, not to worry. Upon arrival with my wife and son ( 7pm on Saturday Jan 13, 2018 ) this is what we found. 1) The office was closed. Our check-in instructions indicated that if the office was closed that the keys would be on a board by the office ( could not find a board with key(s). 2) Called the emergency number on the check-in instructions, no answer. Finally found a security guard who was able to get us into the apartment. 3) We were staying on the third floor, the elevator that is advertised on the booking site was not functioning, and had apparently not been working for a few months according to staff. So, we had to carry all our bags up / down three flights. 4) We could not get any one of the five ceiling fans to operate, we have similar fans at home, so know how to operate. 5) We all wanted a shower after a long day of travel, guess what, No Hot Water ! 6) The safe ( as advertised ) was locked. 7) No instructions how to work electronics / satellite ( you find this in most units in this price range ). There were 4 remotes, so a little confusing. We went to the management office ( Green Eyes Mgt ) the next morning to report the issues. We were told they would check things out and to get back to them in the afternoon. When we returned we were told the hot water was fixed ( it was ), they could not find the key to open the safe, but if we gave them our valuables they would keep them for us ( I don't think so ! ). They apparently could not figure out the fan problem either ( no operating fans ). Here's the good stuff. 1) Nice clean unit 2) Priced appropriate in my opinion ( with everything working ) 3) Beautiful view 4) Good location I think the overall problem is the management company.

Great property and staff, beware the tapwater!

Wonderful property. Just a few hiccups (sheets were not available for the pull out bed, nonflushing toilet, nonworking doorknob, burned out lights, reversed hot & cold water lines in the washer). Daytime staff were very friendly and responsive and fixed anything we reported immediately. Cleaning woman did a wonderful job each day. Half Moon Bay is amazing and uncrowded. So much more relaxing than Akumal Bay just to the south. We did not see turtles in Half Moon Bay but the snorkeling is amazing. You need to swim or kayak out to the reef somewhat distant but still shallow in this shallow and clear bay. The location is tranquil. Be advised it is about an 8 minute drive between the main road and the condo, because of very slow roads and potholes and speed bumps. So it adds a bit of time to your driving places. The main problem for us was that 3 of our 7 guests got ill with vomiting or diarrhea. We tried very hard to adhere to avoiding drinking the water but perhaps while brushing teeth? We did eat out once in Tulum but ate all bottled and cooked dishes. Not sure. Staff were very good about keeping our water tank full of drinkable mineralwater. Again this is a beautiful retreat that I highly recommend.

Great condo and location!

Overall, this was a great value and I feel like the way to go in the Riviera Maya. There was a lot of positive and few negatives. Positives: Beautiful building if you like contemporary spaces. That was hard to find here and they really hit the mark . Tons of natural light and two options on shades to darken or cut some sun exposure. Well maintained grounds, they raked the sand everyday and have shower access by the beach pool was great. Views in every direction were beautiful. Refrigerator and appliances were very nice. The condo was cleaned everyday including Sunday and they were great! For a family of five, the room break down was perfect and it felt very spacious. Air conditioning worked great, no problems although the power went out for the whole area one day. Water was hot. Location was great in terms of being away from tourist crowds. We did a day pass to a resort for one day and we were glad to be back. Everyone there was very friendly and gave us recommendations to restaurants etc. Both La Buena Vida and Lunita were great. We went to La Buena Vida several times, it was the family favorite. Negatives: these are minor but would help the overall experience The pool is on the small side. Could be a little larger when a number of people from the development are using it. The place next door had Palapas with integrated drink tables on the beach. That would be a nice add as the Nahil beach just had umbrellas so if you took drinks down, you just put them in the sand. The elevator is really too slow to use. We took one trip up and it was small and hot. Much easier to take the stairs even to the fourth floor. We didn't mind the stairs really. The grill would be better served with propane. It was brand new and we really didn't want to get charcoal. We were going to grill but thought better of it later. Would have been nice to have more towels. TV situation was odd. Not enough outlets to connect for Netflix. The streaming came through the DVR. The snorkeling- this is what we came for and unfortunately the bay was blown out the week we were there. It was always windy. Still managed to see two turtles, a stingray and numerous fish but it was work with a strong current the whole time. I consider myself a strong swimmer so I went out on a number of occasions but others in my family just didn't think it was worth fighting for with subpar visibility- maybe 30 feet at best.

Wonderful location! Bikes included abs a few great restaurants nearby. Wonderful experience!

Beautiful view, great location for snorkelling

We stayed here for 5 nights. The property is beautiful. Everything is clean, modern and well maintained. The property managers were very friendly and efficient, and the maid service was impeccable. Location is a quick walk from Yalku lagoon, which is a treat for snorkelling, and Half Moon Bay had some great underwater sights too. Be prepared for the potholes and speedbumps on the road to get to this place, but it's worth every bump along the way!

Could have been great

The place and location are beautiful. Unfortunately we had issues with hot water, the air conditioning and a meriad of other items. That being said, when I sent an email about all the problems, Lisa was incredibly responsive and apologetic. She went through the issues and said they would be immediately resolved so no one else experiences the issues we did. Lisa provided us with a refund of part of the rent which was fair. The unit is truely beautiful as well as Half Moon Bay. Great snorkeling in the bay and close to so many things. Since Akumal is small bring plenty of cash. A lot of places don't take cards.
