We spent a wonderful week at La Sirena Unit 16 with our granddaughter to celebrate her graduation, and our experience with Akumal Direct / Loco ****** was exceptional from start to finish. We were originally booked at Hacienda de la Tortuga, but before our trip the team proactively reached out to let us know that the sargasso conditions there were severe. They didn’t just inform us—they offered two alternative properties and helped us seamlessly transition our reservation. Their commitment to ensuring we had the best possible stay was clear, thoughtful, and deeply appreciated.They even coordinated the delivery of our golf cart to the new property, making the switch effortless on our end.La Sirena itself was perfect. The grounds and gardens are lush and beautifully maintained, and our villa was comfortable, charming, and well‐appointed with everything we needed. The A/C kept the space cool, the hot water was reliable, and the décor had that authentic, welcoming Mexican touch. The beach area was lovely, and we enjoyed fantastic snorkeling right from shore—with absolutely no sargasso. We also spent plenty of time relaxing by the gorgeous pool, and one afternoon the gardener surprised us with a fresh coconut, which made the moment even more special.The Akumal Direct team truly demonstrated excellence in customer service. Their proactive communication, thoughtful guidance, and genuine care for our experience made all the difference.
