Gorgeous!

A beautiful modern home with gorgeous views! It would have been nice to stay longer. 2 small issues - we had a cold night and a few extra blankets would have been nice. Also, we're filtered coffee drinkers, there was no instructions on how to use the Nescafe machine, and no viable filter coffee option. I recommend a simple French press and instructions for the machine! Thanks!

Beautiful home!

This was a lovely vacation home for a weekend in Akaroa. It was a little adventurous getting up and down the driveway with a campervan, but doable. Once there, the views are fantastic and it is truly a pretty easy walk to town. Kitchen was well stocked for basic cooking and bathrooms have nice amenities like heaters and heated towel racks. It was a lovely stay and we recommend it without reservation.

Poorly equipped

House was poorly insulated. Towel holder screwed into plasterboard-loose. No salt, kitchen utensils few and far between. Needs a woman’s touch badly.

It was ok

We love Akaroa and were very happy to have a short walk into town which is what you can enjoy doing from this property. Disappointingly we hadn’t realised this house did not have a washing machine - we never thought to check given the price we were paying and the fact we were booking a 3 bedroom home. With a family of 2 boys we need a washing machine so had to pay $4 to use the local motels facilities each time we needed to do a load of washing. This meant we needed to drive into town (not what we had wanted to do) and then wait 40 mins for the machines and then cart everything back and try and dry the clothes. This was such a shame and really detracted from the stay. The house also needed a good clean, the floor was quite dirty and most of the surfaces and the couch were coated in dog hair. We have left with all our clothes covered in dog hair and my son who is allergic also struggled with so much animal hair (there was no vacuum cleaner available to try and clean the floors).

Christmas Magic

Stunning location and views, well designed layout, a very spacious, light and airy property. A lovely relaxing 5 days over Christmas! Perhaps more attention to detail with cleanliness of the property, plus some maintenance required. Outdoor sun umbrella and laundry facilities (1 tea towel for a 5 day stay....) would be just perfect! Many Thanks, look forward to returning!

Perfect Dog Friendly luxury stay

Thank you for having such a lovely property available, we adored it! The only things we could suggest were to fix one of the dining chairs which had a loose leg, the middle bedrrom had no lightbulb in the lamp and the two spare rooms need mattress upgrades as there is a lot of roll together! This would not stop me staying agai though, what a spot!

Modern holiday home with beautiful views

Great location on top of children's bay just a short from Akaroa town. Perfect position and loads of windows for beautiful views over Akaroa Harbour. Modern well designed home with up to date decor. Inside was clean though outside deck and windows needed a clean. Needs some TLC in terms of maintenance. Nothing major but some functional and aesthetic issues that took a bit away from the loveliness of the place. Overall though a lovely time was had by all the family.

Stunning views

Short stay in Akaroa . Perfect place to unwind and take in the exceptional views and quiet (except for birdsong ). Akaroa town walkable but we drove as the night temperature chilled down quickly.

Superb location, lovely setting and outlook. Good for bird watching. Clean modern and spacious. Kitchen facilities a little limited for larger meals. Heat pump a bit "on and off" (may have been operator who was off!). No milk frother for coffee machine. if gate opened outwards easy to fit 3 cars in parking otherwise only 2!
