Who has never dreamt of a tower? In quiet secluded private 1 acre wooded grounds, our beautifully restored 19th century Tower provides sun or shade for lazing around or eating under the pergola . After a day at the beach or sightseeing , the cicadas song will enchant you . Indoors, its whitened stone walls give a feeling of being away from it all .The tower has its own private entrance (chemin de la gandole) and ample parking spaces. Secluded and invisible from the main property occupied by the owners (100 m away) it offers privacy as well as easy contact if needed. ''Le Cabanon" a charming well equipped summer annex (30m2 ) with two bedrooms , shower-room and separate toilet adds flexibility. Children love exploring and playing in the one acre grounds , while teenagers can use numerous buses to reach the beach in Le Grau Du Roi or Nîmes In Summer the pool is at the main disposal of guests and very safe for young children . 'Le Cabanon ' offers extra accommodation during the Summer because some families are keen to share their holidays with friends or family. It is best suited for 6 adults and 4 children (in total 10 sleeping places )They are happy to enjoy the country atmosphere yet so close to the beaches . Outside Summer , the tower is rented on its own. It is well suited for couples or honeymoon holidays or four people with two or no children (six sleeping places maximum). Close by, Aimargues is a typical ' Petite Camargue ' village surrounded by open countryside, superb for country walks or bicycle rides . Surrounded by a secular tree - lined promenade, it makes for a very pleasant village walk. In the heart of the village, there are charming old houses in narrow streets. It is well provided with two bakeries,two butchers,two vegetable shops, one chemist,four doctors,three hairdressers , two newspaper and tobacco shops ,two supermarkets,a post - office , two restaurants and typical local cafés etc... Near by are the beautiful towns of Nîmes, Montpellier and Arles. Close by, the unspoilt fauna and flora of the Camargue .In Aigues-Mortes, the intact walled city of Saint Louis, from where he departed for the Crusades, do not miss the grand salt mountains and in the pink waters of the marshes ,the pink flamingos are stunning .Carry on to the beach of 'Espiguette so wild and vast for beaching or superb walks .

Wir haben zwei wunderschöne Wochen in Aimargues bei Francoise und ihrer Familie verbracht. Die Unterkunft -ein ehemaliger mit viel Liebe ausgebauter Wasserturm und ein Sommerhäuschen auf einem riesigen Grundstück mit diversen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten, einem Barbecue, einer Tischtennisplatte, einem Bouleplatz und einem Pool- hat einen ganz besonderen Charme und lädt zum Erholen ein. Francoise und ihre Familie haben sich rührend um uns gekümmert, ohne jemals aufdringlich geworden zu sein. Sie haben uns mit frischem Obst und Gemüse und zahlreichen Ausflugstipps versorgt. Mit dem Auto kann man hervorragend nach Aigues-Mortes, in die Camargues, ans Meer an den Strand l´Espiguette fahren, sowie auf den sehenswerten Markt nach Sommieres und nach Montpellier. Es gibt natürlich noch viel mehr Sehenswertes in der Umgebung... also neben der tollen Unterkunft noch ein Grund mehr dort einen weiteren Urlaub zu verbringen!

Chez Françoise et sa famille, nous avons passé une semaine agréable mais chaude. Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement et on nous a toujours apporté des légumes du jardin. Le terrain est très grand, mais il y a suffisamment de places assises et d'ombre. De plus, nous avions notre propre piste de pétanque et une petite piscine. La plage la plus proche est quand même à au moins 20 minutes en voiture. Malheureusement, le train passe juste à côté du jardin, ce qui fait qu'on l'entend souvent. Merci beaucoup pour cette belle semaine.

This was our fifth or sixth stay in the tower. We did not come for a couple of years, so it was thrilling to come back in summer 2023. The tower is just lovely - renovated with an enormous amount of love for the building and all its details. We left the tower to our five kids and stayed in the cabanon, which is a bit more basic, but still a cozy and elegant hide-away. The property is amazing, but even more lovely are the owners: the Lewis family. You cannot imagine more lovely and caretaking hosts. They will make sure that you enjoy the Languedoc, while fully respecting your privacy. The tower and the Lewis family truly are a home away from home.

Tolle und erholsame Zeit in einer wunderschönen Unterkunft mit sehr viel Garten bei tollen Gastgebern. Es fehlte an nichts. Strände, wunderschöne Dörfer, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Naturschutzgebiete sind gut mit dem Auto erreichbar.

Wir haben zu Beginn des Sommers mit zwei Familien (10Personen) zwei Wochen in dieser charmanten Unterkunft verbracht. Das Anwesen ist groß und weitläufig und bietet viele Spielmöglichkeiten - natürlich war der Pool bei den Kindern sehr beliebt. Der Turm ist super ausgestattet, liebevoll eingerichtet und bietet genug Platz, auch für eine große Familie. Das Cabanon ist an einigen Stellen etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber vollkommen in Ordnung. Es gibt viele unterschiedliche Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung - die Märkte in Sommières, die Pont du Gard, eine Dampflokfahrt und der Strand "Plage de l'Espiguette" haben uns besonders gut gefallen. Dankbar und besonders angetan waren wir von der Hilfsbereitschaft und Fürsorge der Vermieter. Francoise und ihre Familie haben uns mit Infos & Tipps zur Region, Tricks und Material gegen Mücken (von denen es in diesem Jahr leider sehr viele gab), sowie Kostproben von Gemüse aus eigenem Anbau liebevoll versorgt!! Das war spitze! Südfrankreich ist immer wieder eine Reise wert, und diese Unterkunft in Aimargues ganz besonders! :-)

Wunderbare, fürsorgliche Gastgeber an einem traumhaften Ort! Der ausgebaute ehemalige Wasserturm mit seiner hochwertigen und geschmackvollen Ausstattung hat uns allen sehr gefallen; günstige Lage zum Meer und verschiedenen Städten der Provence; leider kein Wlan/freies Internet im Turm, nur am Haus der Vermieterin. Wir wurden mit Wein, Wasser und Saft im Kühlschrank empfangen, es gab frische Feigen vom Baum und Gemüse aus dem Garten der sehr sympathischen Gastgeber, die sich immer um unser Wohlergehen gekümmert haben.

Cadre exceptionnel dans une grande propriété ombragée au calme. Tour très bien rénovée . Nous avons beaucoup apprécié tous les équipements extérieurs: table de ping-pong, terrain de boules, piscine, barbecue et table d'extérieur sous tonnelle . Nos hôtes ont été très attentionnés et disponibles pendant notre séjour.

Nous avons passé une semaine en famille chez Françoise qui nous a accueillis très chaleureusement avec son fils Antoine. La propriété est très belle et correspond aux photographies du site. Le séjour est passé très vite et nous avons profité et de la maison+piscine et des visites alentours dont les rencontres photographiques d’Arles. A voir également Aiguemortes, Nîmes, Sommières, la plage de l’Espiguette….Nos hôtes sont à l’écoute et de bons conseils.

Très bel accueil par Françoise et sa famille à la Tour, toujours soucieux de notre bien-être tout au long du séjour. Magnifique endroit, fidèle aux photos, plein de charme, avec tout les équipements nécessaires. Très beau séjour à la Tour, apprécié des petits comme des plus grands, en effet, les hôtes ont pensé à tout, pour faire le bonheur de tous : jeux pour enfants, boules de pétanques (présence d’un terrain de pétanque)… Très bel endroit pour ressembler famille et/ou amis, au calme et proche de beaucoup d’activité extérieurs. Merci encore à Françoise et ses enfants…

Vielen Dank für zwei wundervolle Wochen, die wir im und um den Turm herum verbringen durften. Das weitläufige Gelände war perfekt für unsere Kinder und der erfrischende Pool dank abnehmbarer Leiter kindersicher. Es gibt viele Liegestühle und schattige Plätze zum Entspannen, eine Boulebahn, einen Grillplatz und vieles mehr. Die Lage ist ideal für Ausflüge zum Meer (20min mit dem Auto). Die Gastgeber waren außerordentlich gastfreundlich. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Der Turm wurde mit sehr viel Liebe und Sachverstand renoviert, ist bestens in Stand, sehr gut ausgestattet und bietet eine herrliche Unterkunftsmöglichkeit. Wir genossen vor allem auch die ruhigen Abende auf der schönen Terrasse, die Kinder die Weite des Grundstücks und den Pool. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche in dem Turm verbracht. Besonders unseren Kinder hat der Turm sehr viel Spaß gemacht, da es sehr viel zum Entdecken gab (neben dem Swimmingpool gibt es u.a. eine Boule-Bahn, eine Tischtennisplatte etc. etc.). Leider haben wir zu wenig Zeit im Turm selbst verbracht, da es in der Umgebung einfach zu viel zu entdecken gab!

Nous étions un groupe de 6 adultes et nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans la Tour et le cabanon de Françoise et Terry qui ont été des hôtes charmants, disponibles et attentionnés tout au long de notre semaine. La location se situe dans un endroit très calme (sauf quelques chiens qui peuvent parfois se faire entendre la nuit), le grand jardin, la terrasse et la piscine sont également très appréciables lors des journées chaudes. Enfin, la Tour et le cabanon sont bien équipés et joliment décorés. Nous recommandons donc cette location, parfaite pour se reposer et explorer les riches environs. Merci encore pour cette semaine !

We enjoyed a lovely two weeks at The Tower at the end of August. The hosts are delightful people who help to make your visit much more fun with their knowledge of the area and interesting conversation. We travelled to some lovely towns nearby, which have lots of beautiful buildings and art galleries to explore. The beaches are also very nice, with several to choose from and warm sea for swimming. Our highlight was the medieval festival at Aigues Mortes, the children loved dressing in costumes, listening to the musicians and charging around the ramparts. The grounds are nice and peaceful and the pool a real bonus for the little ones. We all loved eating food from the markets late into the night and watching the bats zoom around. Gita the cat is an excellent babysitter, keeping the smalls entertained! It was very hot during our visit, the breeze during the day kept it enjoyable for wandering around, but the grown ups did struggle to sleep in the evenings especially in the cabanon even with the fans. Also come armed with Avon So Soft and Chamomile lotion if mosquitos like you! The nearby village gives an authentic taste of French life and has a couple of nice restaurants, bars and a small playground. Most of our trips took 20 to 30 minutes as the motorway is close by, so not too much travelling to find something to interest everyone. Thoughly recommended!

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Francoise und Terry sind perfekte Gastgeber. Der Turm und das Grundstück sind traumhaft. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Die Naturstrände L‘Espiguette und Grand Travers haben uns besonders gut gefallen. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft gerne weiter.
