Viatges a Adstock

Very nice location, close to everything and Paddington station - so much to see / do around. Staff was very helpful, place was clean. Room was a little hot (no ac or didn't work well) but it was perfectly fine. We enjoyed our stay. 2 rooms connected - four of us total - family with 2 kids (18 & 17)

Lage: 200m von der Station Bayswater entfernt, die nächste Station ist 400m entfernt. Gute Pubs in der Nähe, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten usw. Wirklich eine tolle Gegend um seinen Londonurlaub zu starten. Hotel: komplett in die Jahre gekommen, letzte Renovierung wahrscheinlich in den 80gern, Betten ok, keine Klimaanlage. Hatten ein Zimmer nach hinten raus, da ging bist ca. 22:30h die Lüftung des untenliegenden Restaurants. Mir ist bewusst, dass die Hotels in London fast alle in die Jahre gekommen sind ... aber das war wirklich eine "Herausforderung". Das Bad war zweckmässig - wer den guten alten Duschvorhang vermisst fühlt sich hier heimisch. Frühstück: Wer sich auch ein typisches britisches Frühstück freut wird leider mehr als enttäuscht. Das Frühstück wird bei einem malayischen Restaurant eingenommen. Neben Schokobrötchen gab es Toast. Dazu gab es eine Menge an asiatschen Frühstücksdingen. Wer also auf Suppe, Glasnudeln und Hühnerflügeln zum Frühstück steht hat hier sein Paradies gefunden - wer dieses nicht bevorzugt hat leider verloren.

The two bedroom apartment was good. Sparsely furnished for such a big space, but that's fine. No air con so REALLY warm. After a couple of days with all the windows open, it became tolerable. The relationship between the owners and the front desk is strange. For example, there were no toilet rolls in the apartment - front desk gave as a couple as a favour, but said it's nothing to do with them, and we're meant to message about that kind of thing. At check out I mentioned that one of the windows doesn't close - he didn't seem too bothered, and it was hard to guess if he'd ever tell anyone about it. Communication from the owners was dire. They use the messaging facility on this site, but don't type anything, just attach HTML files containing the messages. On my phone, they appeared as dark grey text on a black background, making them near-impossible to read. I guess those messages would have been the route to information like the WiFi password, but I couldn't read the messages, so never found out.

Bed bugs. Can't take away from breakfast room. Confusing paths to restaurant and reception. Friendly staff but couldn't overcome these challenges.
