The attractive country décor will make you feel welcome and instantly at ease. Perfect for family reunions, weddings, or corporate retreats. Great space for gathering family and friends. Enjoy the country views and Bear Creek stream running through the 14 acres. Just take a short drive down the road and you'll be met with all the excitement Deep Creek Lake has to offer; the four season Wisp Resort, local restaurants, and multiple state parks.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Alvie house. We had an extra large group in town for the Deep Creek Dunk and it fit us all very comfortably! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had a group of 12 stay for a golf trip recently and I honestly can’t say enough about how much fun we had. The location was awesome for people like us. We wanted to be close enough to the golf courses/lake/restaurants, but far enough away to feel secluded. This property does that perfectly. The outdoor area is perfect for setting up as many outdoor games as you want. The inside offers many other communal spaces that are conducive to having great conversations. Plenty of games indoors as well if weather ends up being a factor. Plenty of parking, super clean, just a great place. We will likely make this a yearly event in our friend group.

Great stay!! Plenty of room to hang out in different spaces in the house. The best stocked kitchen we have ever experienced. We had our family reunion there and enjoyed nearby activities and then relaxed in the evening at the fire pit in yard with plenty of chairs for everyone. Thanks so much for our stay.

The host was very quick to respond when we had issues with the heat, even brought over an electric heater to make sure we stayed warm enough.

The hosts made sure that the driveway was clear for the snow that had hit earlier in the week. Then they offered to clear the road if we wished to stay through the snowstorm that was going to hit us as we were there.

Great Large Group Stay!

The hosts were incredible, so quick to respond to all messages. The house was in a great location, secluded but close enough to restaurants, bars, coffee, etc. Great indoor and outdoor space. We had a wonderful experience! Highly recommend!

Great house and location

House was clean and enough space and activity for all the members. Kitchen had all the things which you need to cook and lots of appliances. Location of the house was also convenient.

The house is located at a very peaceful and close distance from deep creek recreational areas. The house have plenty of utensils and dishes. The water pressure in some bathrooms runs very low, some door locks needed replacing curtains/blinds on every window would be great for guests privacy.

Fantastic Again

I have brought my Youth Group here for the 3rd year in a row and it is becoming a favorite destination! While the house does have its little quirks, like years old carpet stains and mismatching light bulbs, we have come back year after year and have seen things improve around the house. It is a cozy place to bring any large group!

Guys weekend getaway

This worked out great for our group. We had 9 guys on a weekend getaway and the house fit us well. Plenty of sleeping room and large living areas for us to all spread out. Kitchen supported us with no issues. House is well stocked with supplies.

Excellent again!

I have taken my church's youth group here 2 years in a row now and it is an excellent stay! The new heated floors were a great addition. We may plan on making this a reoccurring trip. It's also a convenient trip since we had a full group with around 24 hanging out during the day and some heading back home at night. I can't wait to see if we go again next year!

Family Reunion Thanksgiving

Alvie House was perfect for our group of 13. Lots of space for gathering and plenty of places to go off for some quiet time. Very well appointed kitchen. Spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the fire pit and sleds outside. Pool table and ping pong inside. Short drive to town. Thank you! We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this house. Plenty of large spaces for multiple families to spread out but also come together. We loved the family/game room and played lots of pool and card games. The kids enjoyed their own game room upstairs with the ping pong table. Plenty of sleeping room and comfortable beds. The location is great, we were less than 10 min to Wisp/Deep Creek. The teenagers used the free passes to the community center to workout and swim. The area is private. In the summer it would also be a great location with the fire pit and outdoor eating. The hosts were super responsive and came within 5 min of us calling with a question. Would choose this house again if we came back to the area.
