"Malmaison came to our rescue after we had booked into the Reading Travelodge. One look inside and we knew we had made a mistake. We booked into Malmaison and checked in less than an hour later. We were very happy. Our room was spacious, modern and clean. We received a warm welcome and had a fantastic stay while we explored reading."

" Booked 2 twin rooms, but one room was made up as a double. Reported this to reception straight away. Said they would alter it by 7pm. Didn't happen. Reported to recetion in the morning and the room was set as a twin by the time we had returned that afternoon . And we were offered a bottle of fizz."

"An excellent hotel, with comfortable, well proportioned rooms. Parking is obviously an issue, but you just have to factor in the extra cost of this (not too expensive in the station car park). The staff were excellent and very helpful, with the exception of one rather officious lady at breakfast who loudly informed me that I wasn't allowed to have porridge followed by scrambled egg on toast, as it counted as two cooked breakfasts! I have stayed in a multitude of hotels throughout the UK, and...
