"The good points about the hotel were the breakfast, the staff, who were helpful and the rooms which were for the most part well maintained. We had several very positive interactions with the front desk and on the whole they met our needs. The location is pretty good and there is access to a sandy beach at low tide. "I travel a lot to the area around Guimaraes, but I found this new hotel nestled up in the hills and it is super. I'd certainly recommend. I've stayed twice and the indoor pool (and sauna/ steam room) are excellent, and the outdoor pool and view of the mountains in the distance is idyllic. Good food menu and room service (same menu, not a smaller one like in many hotels). Will certainly stay again."

"I booked well in advance and was able to get a twin room with balcony for single use at a very good price. "This hotel is a little gem. As the name would suggest chocolate plays a major role in both the design of the rooms and the offerings at breakfast time. The rooms are large and well appointed whilst the breakfast, with or without chocolate, will set you up for the day. There is a small museum about chocolate manufacturing on site as well. I’d be happy to stay here again."
