"We had a fantastic stay at Pond & Fern. Paul and Kiersten (and Lexi, Juno, Buttons, and Buddy) are friendly, wonderful hosts. The room is comfortable and has all the essentials. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and a perfect home base for exploring the island. Thanks! "

"Amazing...a 3 star that is 5 star for nature lovers! Log cabins with kitchen and comfortable beds, real fire places with ample free dry wood topped up daily, view of the lake. 2 hot tubs and sauna, free access to plenty of canoes, kayaks and paddle boards any time you want, small but good size quiet lake with fish to catch, multiple docks with chairs and other access to swim. Eagles, deer etc all around. Suoer attentive and friendly staff on site. Office has tons of games and puzzles to use....

"This was exactly what we needed after a week of camping on our road trip - this place is so lovely, from the cabin itself (inside and out), to the big trees surrounding it, the pathway through the forest, the delicious breakfast and coffee, and of course the most relaxing bath/shower outside. Tara was so welcoming and was helpful highlighting spots around the island. Would highly recommend and we hope to visit again soon! "

"We enjoyed this property for 2 weeks in June-July, including the Canada day holiday. Large covered deck overlooking tidal lagoon is very relaxing. Enjoyed the Canada Day events in Sidney and riding bikes to Swartz Bay ferries for day trips. We may well return next summer. If we go again we would check tide table ahead of time for afternoon paddleboarding. Interior of property comfortable. "

"Great location- Right downtown Sidney, lots of restaurants, stores and waterfront nearby. No air conditioning but opening the window and turning the fan on kept us cool. Easy check in and checkout. "

"The view is absolutely stunning! The property is more than it states. I will add a tiny bit more information. The driveway does indeed fit 4 cars. Just keep in mind that 2 cars will always be buried at the front and it’s a slightly curved in and slightly curved out. Pauline briefly mentions the little tram. However it was a game changer for our little group as you can unload and load less than 300lbs of luggage and groceries and with a person at the top to send it down and people at the bottom...

"Very clean property with a comfortable bed. Close to dining and grocery store. Tide was in during our stay so we did not go down to the beach. The water is not suitable for swimming as there is a thick sludge matter on the ocean in the area."

"Spectacular property. Perfectly appointed, super comfortable bed with quality linens, strong wifi, would great for someone needing a temporary work spot for a biz trip. Lovely back garden, spotlessly clean and the owners communicated very quickly. Would definitely recommend and come back."

"Clean, quite spacious and within 5 min walking distance to the lake. We had a pleasant stay, the outdoor patio space was a great bonus as we had most of our meals outside."

"Beautiful home and setting. Immaculate throughout, spacious bedrooms with king beds that are so comfortable, and the house has everything you could need or want. The pool was super clean and spending time out around the pool and deck area was the highlight of the stay. Absolutely recommend for friends or family who are looking for a beautiful quiet lovely place to stay. Five stars!"
