"Clean, quiet, and conveniently located."

"Reasonably clean property, a little run-down but it was an affordable and appropriate place to stay for a short night. I would not recommend for its luxury or amenities, but I would recommend for its functionality and free parking. The staff were also kind and helpful, they allowed for early check-in and were very accommodating. The price was also the best in the area, so I recommend it for its affordability!"

"Hotel was extremely hot, a/c in room did not work well. Customer service was great, they had maintenance look at it right away. We were offered a different room or a fan. We opted for a fan and were given complimentary breakfast. All staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Older hotel, could use some updating but clean and comfortable."

"We like our stay at Best Western Escondido. It has a good location, close to the freeway and close to Vista and Carlsbad. The buffet breakfast is also great. Our room is clean and we are close to the vending machine and ice too. Only thing is that you have to request for lotion in the front desk."

"My sister walks with a walker and that was a little difficult as it is very spread out, but a beautiful property. The restaurant is very good , we had a baby, 5 year old and a small service dog, the staff was very accommodating!"

"Avoid this property at all costs. From the moment we arrived, it was obvious the property was poorly maintained and cleanliness was not a priority. The most alarming issue was safety. A rattlesnake was coiled on the deck directly outside our cabin door, forcing us to deal with it ourselves before we could safely enter the cabin. We also found black widow spiders around the cabin. Yes, these animals are native to California, but guests should never have to worry about venomous snakes and spiders...

"Was good to stay for a day. The price was great. They do serve breakfast. The rooms are ok but its out dated. The windows are old and one of the lamps had a short or maybe the bulb was going out. The a/c is very old. It did blow but it was very humid. You had to stand near the air to even feel it. Luckily I had an extra fan. Also the A/C had a hole looking out. May that was why the air was not at its full potential. The bathroom vent did not work making the room dense when taking a shower. There...

"Plus: Front-desk staff was very helpful for a phone call prior to arrival, check in, etc. Breakfast amenities, waffles, coffee and area were nice. Our room was clean (most important) & quiet; wasn't picking up outside noise even facing Highway 78 and with a pool just below our window with activity past 10 pm. Minus: Only minor things. Dark-out shades would be helpful. Room A/C did not seem to cool the room very well. Parking was a bit scarce but manageable. We would recommend and stay here...
