"Location is fantastic, right smack at Jl Malioboro, 10-min walk from the train station, 15-min walk to Mbah Satinem (you gotta eat her breakfast! truly good, not just for the sentimental reasons). We stayed for 5-nites and got a few check-out gifts, which I have never received from any hotels that I've stayed at (nada from Westin, Marriott, Hilton, Ritz, ever!). "We opted for three nights here after 2 nights at a 5-star in old town Yogyakarta and were delighted the contrast. This was quiet and more personable.
