"This hotel is not 5 star, it’s more like1 star. It’s very worn, poor quality furnishings and overall is extremely tired. I recently booked and when I arrived and saw the room refused to stay. The hotel wouldn’t refund or even make a gesture so do not book non refundable. I was allocated room 8 and it was like the worst B&B from the 80’s. "Our double room and double bed were tiny, not even a courtesy bottle of water. The room’s shape was odd, the breakfast is pretty bad. Yes, they have full English and continental tea and coffee but everything is of really low quality. And it was £259 for one night, definitely not worth that type of money. I’m not a fan of Travelodge or Premier Inn but the rooms and beds are bigger and better than this Hampton. Definitely felt ripped off at that price and won’t be returning. Not recommendable at...

"Rooms are very small and they are bot suitable for two people at all. Bathroom and toilet very tiny and there is no air circulation in the room I felt breathless "

"Almost outside the front drive there are bus stops which is handy as The Tyndall is located on a steepish hill leading to Bear Flat above Bath where there are local shops and a pub. quite easy on the eye. It's nicely decorated throughout and kept very clean. Our room was on the ground floor and fitted with a kingsize Hypnos bed which was very comfortable indeed. The staff are very attentive and keen to help. "

The location is also good proving the opportunity to walk down to the town, with the option to walk back or take the bus which stops right outside the door. Will we return - YES"

"Great stay at this property. The room was large and nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. A very modern bathroom although the extractor fan could have been more powerful to dry the bathroom. We couldn’t work out the air conditioning but it wasn’t too warm in the room. It was quiet at night and the curtains made the room dark so easy to sleep. "Reception staff initially a little frosty as we arrived ahead of check in time because we were going to an event. However once we explained that we didn’t expect our room to be ready and that we just wanted to leave our bags they were much friendlier and then went out of their way to find a room that had already been cleaned so that we could go straight to the room "
