"The accommodations were spartan but clean we had the "Family Room", the owner very nice and helpful. The bathroom and shower were fine. The double bed was 2 single beds pushed together.It is 15 minute walk to the station and to Byodo-in (main attraction in Uji) There are no food options close by but kitchen access was available. The only real problem is that for anyone who has mobility issues, access to the room was 2 flights of very steep narrow stairs."

"Alles bestens. Kaffee gibt es an der Rezeption kostenfrei. Die Zimmer sind modern und sehr sauber. Jeden Tag wurde tip top gereinigt. Sehr zentrale Lage in der Nähe vom Bahnhof kyoto. Es liegt in einer kleinen Gasse von daher auch sehr ruhig. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. "

"It was a nice hotel room, with easy access to the building. Close to the train which made travel easy."

"We had great stay with Comfort Hotel Era. Kids love the afternoon snacks and breakfast buffet. Great location as Toji station is just across the street. Shopping is near by made it even more convenient. We loved the restaurant near by. Room is good size and bed is comfortable, very clean and room service was done every day. Best hairdryer we’ve ever had with hotel stay. We’ll stay at this hotel again when we’re back to Kyoto next time."

"I really enjoyed the stay. Spacious and well designed room which were clean and well maintained. Great amenities in the room as well as the building such as ice machines and laundry on all / most floors. Check-in process was easy and quick, and same with the check-out. The staff were really friendly and eager to help. It is located within 5 minutes walk from Kyoto station and Avanti shopping mall which has a range of shops and restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would go back to stay....
