"I would have rated this property an overall excellent with the exception of one major issue. The hotel is beautiful, new and has gorgeous decor. Our king room, although “compact” had NO storage for our clothes other than 5 hangers. No chest of drawers, shelves, etc. I had to stack our packing cubes on top of a vanity serving as a nightstand. "There is construction going on here - BEWARE, you cannot rest in your room during the day.
The check-in is really impersonal, you self check-in, just like shopping in Tescos! No human contact, which is disappointing for a hotel like this.
We only spoke to the staff when we complained about the incessant noise of drilling and banging above our heads.
I finally spoke with the Duty Manager & his Deputy, very polite & apologetic, and received a small discount, but it was too little, too late. ...

"Room tiny but clean. Bed barely adequate - the thinnest, hardest mattress I have ever encountered in a hotel. I am not a heavy and I could feel the wooden slats underneath the mattress.
I stayed one of two nights booked and stayed with a friend instead for the second night.
Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, property was reasonably clean. "

1st they ask for a deposit even after you pay for the entire stay. I found it odd... The deposit they ask for varies per person without reason... Maybe based on the way you look... Then, it takes up to 5 working days to refund your deposit after you leave. Also, be aware that they sell sweets and biscuts at the reception not at the bar, but if you want a biscut with a tea you purchase in the bar, it is not possible;...
