"This is a hidden gem that everyone should get to experience. The rooms are wonderful, food was amazing and breakfast was included and plentiful. The area is spectacular. Definitely save time to explore the nearby waterfall that likely isn't in most itineraries but should be."

"Clean, reasonable size. Very basic and smaller than pictures. Missing off things (utensils, plates, etc) which would have made it better (had some but not enough). Very small bathroom and slow WiFi. 10 minute drive down a gravel road to get there from the main road. Nothing else nearby, very isolated and no facilities on site. Underwhelming, expected more for the money we paid."

"The bungalows are really small, got a room for 2 adults and 2 kids which had a bed and sofa bed, the sofa bed wasn’t big enough to fit in 2 people. The space was very tight and it wasn’t well maintained. The room was clean and breakfast was decent. The staff was friendly, but the price didn’t justified what you get."

"After a long day driving, this hotel feels like heaven. They have a nice restaurant which made us feel great for a nice diner! very big rooms comparing to other hotels we stayed in the same trip. "Beautiful and peaceful spot with lots of birdlife in Klaustur. Easy parking and fast check-in. Stayed two nights. The room was nicely appointed but SO hot. No matter what we did (turned thermostat as low as it could go, then finally turned off the breaker) it was uncomfortably warm. We surmised that this was probably due to the grass roof retaining heat so something to be aware of for summer travellers. Every table at the breakfast buffet was talking about it in the morning (we counted 5...

"Of the 6 places we booked this was our favorite. The kitchen, living room seating and dining area were perfection. The beds were very comfortable, and bathrooms small but sufficient. The ability to do laundry mid-point in our trio was a life saver. The sauna was such a treat! The outdoor wood burning hot tub felt so exotic with a view of both green and snow covered mountains. We can’t wait to return!"
