"Parking was ok, lots of vehicles with the pool tournament going on. Room was fairly clean, good solid bed. Courtyard was grown up with high grass and weeds, didn't even look at the pool. The property needs a couple good maintenence personnel cause it needs a lot of work! "

"The room set up was nice. Had a lil trouble with the mini fridge but the staff quickly took care of it. Did not receive daily maid service/ don't know why. The bed was comfy. The breakfast was good! They kept up on restocking low/out of items, so it was all fresh."

"The location was great for our business. The rug was old and dirty. The furniture was old and outdated. The bathroom was also outdated, with rust around the mirrors. The bedding was not as clean and crisp as other hotels."

"My room was never cleaned the whole time I stayed there from 05/14 to 05/18. The bed was never changed. It was uncomfortable and quite disturbing. I asked one of the hotel staff up front why my room wasn't cleaned and I was told they only did every other day. The hotel staff was usually helpful and nice but some were not. "This is the second time I have stayed at the Oaklander. The first time there were stains all over my sheets. They were changed. This time the pillows were wrinkled and did not smell fresh. I had to request new pillow cases. It’s a beautiful hotel but when they tell you they are inspecting your room before you go in beware, you better inspect it yourself. Housekeeping was very courteous when they changed the pillow cases. One bright point. Very disappointing for such a beautiful hotel."
