"Perfect home base for day trips in the Eastern UP. Quiet residential area, a brisk walk or quick drive to the Soo Locks and restaurants. Unit was clean, quiet and comfortable. Kitchen worked fine for quick meals, there is a grocery nearby. On-street parking was always easily available. "

"We loved our stay here. The place is clean, the couch is comfy, the TV is big and we slept great! An added bonus were the cows. We highly recommend!"

"The house was clean and met our needs well. We had to text the host about a couple things and she responded immediately. She even provided a dozen fresh eggs and bagels for breakfast. "

"My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!"

"House was very roomy an expectation was fulfilledWe were there for a two night stay but would love to return. My mother was born on Sugar Island and it’s the first time I’ve been back there in 40 years forgot how rural it really is."
