"I’ve stayed at the Seaway Inn off and on for more than 30 years. It’s a beautiful, updated smaller property that is near the Santa Cruz Pier and Boardwalk. It’s had different owners over the years and has been updated. The beds, and pillows are very comfortable. The rooms are spacious, and very quiet. You don’t really hear the street noise but can hear the waves from the ocean. Our king room offered a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee. The staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating....

"The room was clean enough and adequate. Staff tried their best given the staffing shortage they advised us about. Our unit didn't have a smoke detector, one kitchen cabinet door wouldn't close and the toilet seat was not the right fit/shape - oval seat place on a round toilet bowl. There was a veryy partial ocean view from one of the windows. Parking was tricky. Pet friendly though and comfortable bed."

"The location was great & the staff was helpful but the property itself wasn’t well-maintained & the cleanliness was definitely not up to par. There was areas in the room that had rotting wood & multiple areas that needed to retracted. There was mold on the shower curtain, the floor hadn’t been swept & there were cockroaches in the bathroom. For how much we paid for this room I was definitely expecting a much better experience — not sure that I’d feel comfortable returning to this location."

Given the price, you might be surprised there's a pool and from my experience it's probably more accurate/helpful to think that they don't. Looks fine from the parking lot but nothing you'd want to get in when you see it up close. Again, it's a great deal if you're looking to save a buck."
