"The only compliant I had was I payed for a late checkout & and housekeeping, kept on knocking on the door for me to leave the room after I paid for an extra 2 hour check out. The front staff needs to communicate better with housekeeping for future guests who want to extend the extra 2 hours of late check out."

"This is a wonderful B&B. No complaints about it whatsoever. I do feel that anyone considering booking here needs to know the location is near the top of a hill. We walked from the train station...wow, quite the cardio workout! There are many steps from the driveway to the house. Just be aware."

"Does the job really! If you need a quick night's stay before getting the ferry or tunnel then it's ideal, however be aware that some rooms have no windows and the place is a *little* rundown. Main receptionist was really nice and very helpful - I would stay again but only for short stays."

The full English breakfast is very good quality food cooked to a high standard, served by very friendly staff, perfect way to start your day! "Lovely setting..nice comfortable & good sized room. Food was very good, didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment.. My only complaint is the lack of a mirror close enough to a socket so you can dry your hair…most places don’t have one to be honest & as I’m only short I couldn’t see in the bathroom mirror to use that either. I was able to move the mirror on the door but was still 3 feet away from it. Wouldn’t make me not stay again.. The staff were all very good, smiley & efficient. "

"Beautiful location, gorgeous looking house. Large bedroom and bathroom with a great view. The barman (blonde hair) sorry didn't catch his name was excellent very friendly, and nothing too much trouble. Food well presented and delicious, lady chef very nice friendly and well travelled. Lovely chatting to her. On the down side house keeping very lacking in fact non existent!
