"Great place to crash if you're visiting the river, 10 minutes from Oregon Creek Park, which is an awesome spot to hit with kids. Pretty sparse surroundings and it's deep in the woods, so it's remote and private. Space itself is set up for 2 people, if you bring more people (wouldn't recommend more than 2 adults, 2 kids) you should bring an air mattress and your own bedding. "Sent my hubby and my boys on a weekend fishing trip and they stayed at this place. It was perfect! Place was clean, hosts were amazing folks! After a long day fishing, they were able to chill in the pool. Hospitality was tremendous, and the most important part was that the dogs were the best! Would definitely stay again. "

"Great communication and the house was perfect for our friend group that was in the area for a wedding. Four separate sleeping areas worked well. Also enjoyed the canal and nice walking area behind the house so we could get our exercise in and to view the beautiful waterfall. Flowers and fruit at the house when we arrived were a nice touch!"

"We had a wonderful time at Mama Bear‘s cabin. It’s such a comfortable property. Everything worked well, and we loved the hot tub. The beds were extremely comfortable too! We would definitely like to come back and stay again. "

"This spot is perfectly located. We were just there for a quick overnight, not thinking too much about it, but it worked out so well that I'd just rebook here in the future. "This little cabin was in an ideal getaway spot close to hiking trails and perfectly situated in the mountains. Be aware that it is a mountain cabin. Everything works, and everything is clean, but it is a rustic. Specifically, there are tricks to getting a hot shower, but don't give up the water heater does work. They just did a whole bunch of improvements, and it made the cabin very comfortable. This is a mountain gem, and I couldn't recommend it more."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville."
