"The smell of old carpets was unbearable for me! If you are allergic or sensitive to old building smell, you might find challenging to stay. A/C unit in the room was always on and it was noisy. Even if we put it in auto mode, it makes just a fee seconds of brief stop and resume blowing up again. So little sleep."

"The offerings for breakfast were various. I loved the coffee. Breakfast was yummy. The staff was friendly and accommodated us to store 13' pole vault poles. The room smelled wonderful, and the bed/pillows were soft. The AC was perfect. My only suggestion is for the deep cleaning staff to clean the legs/bottom of cabinets and the sink vanity. "

"Description said sleeps 7 and there were only 2 beds and the couch was not a sofa bed. At most it sleeps 5 if someone sleeps on the hard sofa. Very dim lighting. Not satisfied with stay."

"Howard Johnson goes back a long time. Always like the old world charm of the 50’s and 60’s styling. Only one small quirk was my shower knob did not work and it was broken. Fortunately it was stuck on a reasonable temperature to shower and used it as that. Breakfast was quite meager, very small lounge and limited food choices. But I assume it’s because of the limited space that had there. Overall it was alright and would go there again since my beach location in Clearwater was all but overbooked....
