"We loved our stay here! We stayed in the La Sirena suite which is at the very top of the building. Below I list some 'cons' but they weren't really cons - more of considerations for those who might be sensitive to certain factors. Pros: - Excellent location - relatively chill block but close to so much. - R Bar on the ground floor is a great no frills neighborhood bar with mix of locals and tourists. Lively but not overly crowded, superb staff, and old school movies playing on the big screen....

"I want to discourage everyone from staying at the Royal Frenchman… in order to keep this place to myself! Don’t stay here if want a modern hotel, with many modern amenities, lacking in character and charm. Don’t stay if colorful staff with a passion for the music of New Orleans ( which they bring nightly to the hotel lobby or courtyard) is not your thing. Don’t stay if listening to music wafting in from Frenchman street late into the night seems annoying. But you have a passion for the people,...

"Great parking for a fee. Felt very safe. Nice pool. Wished for a day bar. We had a balcony to enjoy with the great weather. In hotter days, i would not. Hitel is one block from two restaurants, one pricey, the wine barrel, and one, miderate, the Louisiana purchase pizza. We ate twice there. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Free wifi. "

"Property was very charming, pool was great for those hot days. Staff was friendly and helpful. I think refrigerators in the rooms would be great and coffee service in the lobby vs the machine in the room. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay!"

"Such a great stay! Some of the staff were excellent to work with and have conversations with. The room was large and quaint. The pool was secluded and fairly quiet. Convenient location for walking to eat and explore. The only issue we had was the shower only out out hot water and we couldn’t take a shower because it was too hot. They told us the plumber could not come on the weekend. We had the option to switch to a queen room or keep or king room. Apart from that issue this was a great place...

" The only downside is and was my room was facing the train which was extremely loud when passing and the musical number that was playing daily every morning. The property overall was nice quiet and clean. I would definitely book here again just pick a different room"
