However, although we really enjoyed our stay, I have to mention one issue we found. Our bathroom had a large, unfrosted window with just a thin net curtain, so if using with lights...

"The stay blew away our expectations. We got a suite instead of a single room. The staff were probably the friendliest people in Copenhagen. The views of the canal out the window, the details paid to everything (the hidden fridge), the great water pressure. It's been years, maybe decades since a hotel impressed me as much as our stay at the Kanalhuset did."

The main issue was the room, no ac, just a fan on the ceiling, and the carpet in the hallway was smelly. The bathroom has a revolving door that kept opening, with no lock. And TV had no channels, you could only castplay from you phone or tablet on it."

Couple things to note though: Pull out couch is not comfortable and extra linens were not readily available so no extra duvet covers or pillow cases were stocked until after we made the request. "We really had a fantastic experience here. The location is perfect for all of the restaurant choices we made as well as the canal cruise we booked. We also appreciate shaving bike rentals onsite and the option to do just a few hours vs paying for a whole day. The hotel decor is quirky and fun. The staff made us feel welcome and it was notable they were flexible with our needs. We would stay here again for certain!"
