"Our family really loved the house and property. It was an excellent basecamp for surrounding hiking excursions. The property itself with the open floor plan, prairie trail, pond and fire pit really let us melt away hours in the evening as our legs recovered from hiking. The house a great feeling of privacy and safety so the kids could run around outside and quiet prairie walks could recharge the mind. The house itself had modern amenities, and was easy to manage. "Pros: quiet little cabin, tucked just inside from a street. Clean & cozy. Cons 1. Mattress: It was too soft & saggy in the middle. Another reviewer mentioned this too. I wasn't able to get a restful night's sleep. Either my knees or neck would be sore in the mornings 2. Not enough brightness / lights: The interior feels dark - with an okay ceiling light, where 1-2 if the bulbs would slowly go dim as tine went on. Kitchen light was brigther."

"The Martin House was plenty big & was a historic home! The kitchen & baths had been completely renovated & were nice!! The queen bed upstairs is not a queen…must be a full as we have a queen at home & this was much smaller & too tight for 2 regular size adults! Both of the front bedrooms need a bedside table or nightstands to put night time necessities such as water, Kleenex, nighttime meds, etc. The upstairs shower needs a clean shower curtain & new, clean shower liner & brighter light bulbs...

"The bungalow was a good efficiency space with an excellent kitchen appliances and everything you need to cook meals. My favorite time was to sit on the porch and watch the river flow. It was so relaxing. There were trails you could walk. I remember one evening, I was stressed and went for a walk. It was so quiet with nothing but birds chirping their songs. It was so nice to be in quiet space for a couple of days."
