"The room smelled a bit musty and the sheets had stains on them. The fitness area was pretty small with old equipment. The only cardio machines were an elliptical and a bike that were both pretty old and not of real good quality. The fitness center is used by people who have boats at the marina which made it pretty busy most of the time. The small size makes it feel crowded even with only 3 people in there. "I am extremely picky when it comes to hotels and I have to say that this hotel was the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at in a while. Housekeeping came every other day to refresh the room and each time they did an excellent job. The hotel is very close to the airport, so if you are a light sleeper it might night be the best place to stay. The noise from the airport didn’t bother me. The only issue I had was an employee in training ran my credit card as a gift card and it messed up my bank account...

"This was an amazing place with an incredible nostalgia. We got there at midnight the first night because of a late flight. One of the members of the family who owned this place, showed up at the gate and let us in. When you get there, you get a key to open the gate into the garden area. "It's a place to crash after a long day, not to spend time in. Your bed won't be.made. Fresh towels are by request. No phones in the rooms, so if you need anything, you must go to the desk. The previous client had medium length straight black hair and was travelling with a lady who had longer straight black hair. I'll let you figure out how I know that. Goid value, but you get what you pay for. I won't skimp on the hotel again..."

"This was my second stay here. Location is convenient for me for visiting family, but I also enjoyed walking along the harbor and Shelter Island paths which are nearby. The room was clean and spacious (I chose a deluxe king this time) and the neighborhood feels safe--great for a solo traveler. Onsite parking is reasonable and convenient. I will definitely book here again for my next visit!"
