"KI Star was a fabulous place to stay on Kangaroo Island. The house was so well appointed, with an incredible sea view. We found this location to be suitable for our group (all adults), and gave us a great base to see so many parts of the island. " The view from deck is utterly fantastic. Loved watching the ferrys arrive and depart, and seeing pods of dolphins swim by in the sea. And the birdlife in the garden amazing! Terrific wood heater inside for the evenings, with plentiful supply of wood. So cozy.Beds very comfortable. "

"Exceptional value. Loved our stay at The Dunes Kangaroo Island. The house feels newly built—airy, generous spaces, high ceilings, and big windows that bring in soft coastal light. Beds are superb, showers have great pressure, and the kitchen has everything. Outdoor deck + lounge were our favourite spots for sunrise and evenings, and we saw kangaroos in the early morning (around 7.30 am). "An ideal location for the ferry. The house has great views. Modern with everything that any type of traveller might need. When the road works are completed there will be easier access to the main body of rhe Island, albeit as it currently is, we had no problems."

"If you like wildlife away from the maddening crowd about 40 minutes from Penneshaw, this is the place.A few minutes walk to Nepean Bay and you have the place all to yourself. The host was impeccable. Yes, all the main attractions are a must see but don’t forget Cape Borda Lighthouse. Well worth a look, particularly it’s history."

"So happy we decided to stay here. We travelled from Canada and with our Australian friends found this a beautiful location minutes from the ferry terminal and easily accessible. The house is spacious; modern and very well maintained. We had a kangaroo visit us and many beautiful birds of various species and colours.
