"The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. We appreciated the fruit water at the front desk as well as the breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean. It could probably use an update on carpet at some point. "

"This hotel was gorgeous! We arrived late so we didn’t spend any time around the area so I'm not sure how that is. I will say it is very loud especially at night outside. I swear the same car kept driving back and forth on the street outside of our room and it was SO loud that was the only thing we weren’t happy with. "

"Jerome and Bryan were excellent at the front desk. Bryan checked us in so quickly and had a wonderful disposition. When we needed to extend our stay for an extra night, Jerome made it so easy and he was so pleasant to deal with. The service at the Bistro was also excellent! Friendly people who made us feel at home after an 11 hour drive. Thank you! "

"This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel. We enjoy the cleanliness of the hotel and room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower was spacious, clean and water pressure was good. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Easy to walk or Uber to lots of restaurants, bars and attractions. The pool and hot tub were clean and towels well stocked. The temperature of the water was a bit uncomfortable though. The pool was a little too cold and the hot tub too hot to really enjoy for...

"Was very nice and accommodating! Only thing that was an issue we had to ask for more towels due to only 2 bath towels being in the room and when my daughters phone fell against the wall and headboard, when we slid matress back there was much hidden trash a d an alcoholic beverage can laying on floor behind box spring. But staff were friendly and professional. "

"Was a lovely, quick stay. We had an interior (no window) room which was a nice surprise. We got the best sleep!! Our entire family almost slept through checkout! The lobby with the games was a nice option for our kids. My husband and I got drinks at the bar and there seemed to be a nice gathering of people. The drink tickets were a nice bonus! We used some for coffee the next morning. Oh, my favorite part was the housekeeping cards in the rooms. We NEVER have cash so having the option to...

"For my this being my first time in Richmond ( I’m from Norfolk ) The commonwealth hotel is very unique. The different pieces of art , the doors, the restaurant it’s all amazing. I think if I ever need a retreat again locally … I’ll definitely come there again as long as I have the same room."
