"The older cottages with rooms on the east side of the shoreline highway had private outdoor sitting areas that overlooked the meadows, vegetable garden, grove of trees, and a small patch of the ocean was viewable. They were not quite on the highway, so noise from traffic seemed to be more muted. Unfolding, we stayed in a upstairs room in the newly remodeled annex on the west side of the shoreline highway where traffic noise was more pronounced. The bathroom felt crammed and a little makeshift...

"We stayed 3 nights in The Gaulala Cottage. The room had a great view from the deck. The property is older and a little rustic. Everything was clean for the most part. The sleeper sofa would be fine for a younger child, not so good for a young adult. Communication and Parking were both good. The driveway is steep. Beware if you have a car that sits low. "

"A spectacular location and the owner operators genuinely care for their guests experience. The property is old and definitely has some items that could use some updating however, everything was functional and comfortable. "I spent one night here with my dog while on a road trip. The bed and pillows were soooo comfy after driving 8 hours. Great water pressure and hot water. Cast iron in the kitchen! All the little touches were appreciated plus being able to walk my dog around the property. Staff were very responsive and kind as well. I wish I could have stayed longer because it was such a relaxing vibe. I would definitely stay again if in the area. "

"Lovely and charming property. I stayed in the Cypress Cottage, and despite the cooler temperatures the room was well heated and comfortable at all times. The staff, especially Kate, were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Dogs are very welcome as well. "
