    La cabaña se encuentra en el pueblo de Pennautier, que se encuentra a 5 minutos en coche al norte de la hermosa Carcasona. Pennautier se conoce como tal desde 1781, sin embargo, su historia se remonta desde la Edad Media y la ocupación romana a la prehistoria.

    La cabaña cátara es una casa de pueblo adjunta en 3 plantas. La planta baja consta de la entrada, cocina y comedor, junto con un baño completo. El primer piso comprende el dormitorio principal, sala de estar, terraza y segundo baño. El segundo dormitorio se encuentra en el segundo piso; tenga en cuenta que hay pasos bastante empinados hacia el segundo piso que no serían adecuados para personas mayores o niños muy pequeños. La cabaña cuenta con conexión Wi-Fi gratuita.

    Pennautier tiene todos los servicios básicos a poca distancia, incluyendo un quiosco, supermercado, panaderías, carnicería, cafetería, pizzería, farmacia y médico. El Chateau de Pennautier está a las afueras del pueblo (a 2 minutos a pie de la cabaña) y data de 1620, ¡un lugar maravilloso para participar en un poco de 'enoturismo'! El estacionamiento está disponible a pocos metros de la casa.

Maison agréable. Ormis les escaliers étroits, vieille maison oblige, tout est parfait. Wi-Fi super, cadeau de bienvenue gourmet. Tout a été pensé pour qu'on apprécie le séjour. Je recommande à 100 pour cent.

Wonderful village and spot

The owners were very communicative and helpful. It was easy to reach them and get suggestions and help. This was a cozy home and a highlight of our trip.

Gorgeous Cathar Cottage

Cathar Cottage is a sweet and cosy little home, tucked up a narrow winding lane. It is conveniently close to Carcassonne, but far enough away to be peaceful. Our time was measured out by nearby church bells ringing the hours. Our hosts communicated regularly from when we booked, offering suggestions and advice. They ensured there were provisions on hand, in case of holiday shop closures, as well as heating the place before we arrived. A wonderful home with fabulous hosts.

Bien dans l'ensemble, La rue est un peu étroite, nous n'avons pas osé y aller en voiture. Le défaut majeur est que c'est assez sombre et rustique.

interesting property

overall we enjoyed our holiday in pennautier,but only one bed made up and I didn't want to share with my daughter, we left message with local agents but never received a reply. we wanted to use public transport but would advise visitors to use own transport. I think maybe we were a little early in the season, and it was a local holiday in this area. small supermarket open when we arrived on Saturday 27th april ,were told they would be open again on Monday but did not open again until Thursday, the rustique bar/café only did food if they had enough customers, but were very helpful friendly. great meal at winery restaurant. did lots of walking. Aragon worth a visit. thankyou for the wine which we enjoyed, another reason to drive, would have liked to bring some home with us. Helen

The town was beautiful and the locals were very friendly and helpful

Spacious and clean space. We felt very relaxed and comfortable. The property is well stocked with the little things one needs at a pinch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and absolutely would recommend it to others.

Sehr gemütliches Häuschen in der Nähe Carcassonnes

Wir haben uns in den beiden Nächten dort sehr wohl gefühlt, alles sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, das kleine Häuschen ist ein Erlebnis. Vielen Dank auch an die Vermieter, alles war hervorragend organisiert.

Casa con estilo propio, restaurada con mucho encanto.

Es una casa restaurada con mucho encanto, las escaleras para subir son un poco empinadas, pero hasta eso le da su estilo particular. Sin grandes lujos, pero se está muy cómodo. Lo único es que no había televisor, pero estando en una zona tan preciosa no hay tiempo para eso, no fué un problema. El pueblo es pequeño pero su gente muy amable. A la llegada nos encontramos un regalo de bienvenida!!. Repetiría sin dudarlo.

Casita bien acondicionada y tranquila a 15 minutos de la City

10/12/2017 Una casita cerca de Carcassonne muy agradable y calentita con todos los utensilios en la cocina y baño, hemos estado dos noches muy agradables y con un gran detalle del anfitrión encontrarnos las estufas encendidas y una botella de vino . La única pega es el tramo del último piso que es un poco incomodo. Gracias por todo.Eduardo.

Quaint little town house

We enjoyed our stay at this quaint little town house, which is well equipped from top to bottom. The stairs were quite steep and we both felt that older residents may suffer trying to get up and down. Whilst we really enjoyed our stay the lack of access to an outdoor space proved claustrophobic and as such we spent most of our time out and about. That said I suspected there was limited access to an outside seating area prior to our visit so I blame myself in this respect. It was spotlessly clean with a superb shower and constant hot water, you could not ask for more at the price

Fantastic traditional house in lovely village

I stayed at Cathar Cottage with my wife and children, aged 7 and 4, for a week at the end of August. This is a wonderful traditional French house, and the photos on the site do not do it justice. Pennautier is a lovely French village with a butcher, 2 boulangeries, a mini market, a tabac and one bar. We loved going to the boulangerie every morning and for a drink at the bar in the evening. Everyone we met in the village was very friendly, and always fussed over the kids which was really nice. Be prepared to speak French in the village, as many people don't speak english! Again, we saw this as a plus as our son has just started French at school. The village is 10 minutes from Carcassonne and a great base for exploring the region. My one piece of advice is do not take your vehicle down the Rue Victor Hugo to the front of the house. The street is horrifically narrow at the bottom and we scratched our wing mirror on the hire car. Park at the top or bottom of the street in the parking bays on the main road - we never had a problem getting parked and it is a short walk to the house. While we were there a light broke for the bathroom which I reported one morning. We went out for the day and when we returned it had been fixed which was fantastic. We had a fantastic experience at Cathar Cottage, a real feeling of being in real France, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it
