"The receptionists and other workers were very welcoming and professional and helpful and accomodating.I dont like the rule of the hotel about you cant bring outside food(cooked) like pizza and food in box etc., into your room.That is the worse rule you can have at a hotel without a proper explanation that makes sense.Was told guests complain about the smell.That cant be.Because if a restaurant is on property,how does that explanation make sense.If one is worried about rats and cockroaches...

"The best thing was sitting in the hot tub overlooking the North Sea & hearing the waves coming in & feeling the fresh sea breeze around our faces while our bodies were warm underwater!!! "The Scott is a beautiful property, and the staff is incredible! Everyone we talked to was friendly, knowledgable, and willing to do whatever they could to help. We stayed here one night to end our trip in Scotland on a high note, and it did not disappoint. The breakfast was delicious, and they were able to substitute gluten free toast for some of their dishes when we asked. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Edinburgh!"

"The only negative thing I can say is that the breakfast was affected by the worst coffee I have had in a hotel in ages. It was watery and weak and just lukewarm. Both coffee machines were the same poor quality and delivered the same crummy coffee every morning for the four breakfasts we were there. Otherwise, everything else was excellent with this property."
