"The hotel was sub standard for a 5 star hotel. At best it is worthy of 3 stars. The shower was over bath and everyth8ng screamed 1995. Everything needs a massive refurbishment. Staff were nice and the room clean. Breakfast ok and location to the westlake excellent. Its ok but dont expect the 5 star treamtment."

"It looks like the property is undergoing some renovations. Check-in was done by someone at the reception counter who cannot speak English. He came upto our room, but the key card was not working. We had to go back to the reception to get another card for another room. Wifi password was provided only after we asked for it. But the connection was very bad. No breakfast provided. No restaurants at the hotel. The shower handle at the bathroom was leaking water everywhere. The reception...

"Surprisingly good location for West lake and nearby shopping stripe. Located in a quiet street, there is a night market just opposite on the road, and walking distance to West lake in 10 mins. Not your 4 star room, but comfort for a night stay. Facilities are a bit dated but checked-in was smoothand easy, the check-in instructions were clear."

"The building was built in the 1950s, so that’s the style. The location is perfect, with the lake right in front of your eyes. Rooms are solid built and quiet which is hard to achieve with modern buildings. Once you shut the balcony door you can’t hear the hustle and bustle outside. Breakfast is great with a gorgeous view of the lake. If one is looking for a modern hotel this is not the recommended one. But if one is interested in history and wants to stay at the same hotel a lot of world leaders...

"It’s very hard to find this place. It isn’t visible from the road and there is no visible sign near the road and the driver went in circles for some time. The rooms are not well-kept so it has a feeling of a youth hostile. Staff was nowhere to be seen at check out so I gave my key to a random guy. They never cleaned my room or gave me fresh towels. The location by the lake is amazing but this place needs new management. It looks much better on Expedia then in real life."
