"First night was really good then a spray something in the air and I could not stop sneezing. I had to shut off the air conditioning first night with the window open and I got eaten by mosquitoes the other three nights with the door closed and I was sweating like crazy. Nice place if you’re not allergic to all those different smells.

"We liked the location of the Avani. Rooftop bar and restaurants were quite good. Our two issues, although they appear insignificant, did matter. We requested a 2nd luggage rack for our suitcase, only to be told we had to “make one”? Bottom line, no luggage racks available. So if you are two people in one room, it is a bit awkward. As for our other issue, some concierge are more knowledgeable than others. Birt, was exceptional. "

"We stayed twice on overnight stays to be close to the airport. Beds are comfortable, lots of restaurants nearby and a good breakfast buffet included. The first time we stayed, we were heading to Vietnam and Cambodia after the first month or so in Thailand so we asked if we could leave our large suitcases so we could do carry on for these short haul flights - no problem and no charge. When we came back a month later, our bags were waiting for us, then had a good sleep before our 4AM departure to...
