The Captain’s Quarters is an apartment centrally located in the heart of Nags Head. This newly renovated 600 SQFT apartment is located just steps from the beach and it has everything you need for a great vacation. The Old Nags Head style covered-porch faces south and has views of the beach access. The bedroom has plenty of closet space and a queen size bed. The newly renovated bathroom has a full size tub shower and a 36" vanity. The living area has an open floor plan with a full size kitchen, dining area and living room. The living room has a couch, coffee table and flat screen TV. The covered front porch is located just off the living room. It is a great place to take in the salt air and relax. The apartment is a quick 1 minute walk to the beach. The Albatross Street Beach access is located only 300' (less than a football field!) away. The apartment is within walking/biking distance to many well renowned sites on the Outer Banks, including, Jockey's Ridge State Park (via signaled Hollowell St crosswalk), the new (2017) Town of Nags Head Dowdy Park, The Nags Head Fishing Pier, Tortugas Lie Restaurant and many other attractions. The apartment is also within Biking distance to the YMCA via the Town of Nags Head's new Multi-use path.

This is a great place for a couple or a small family looking for a spacious vacation rental!

Place was even more adorable than anticipated. Well and thoughtfully laid out, linens provided, close to beach and beach access. This is a hidden gem and perfect for a couples get away.

The house had all the amenities we needed for a weekend getaway. The host provided clear instructions to access the property and a Wi-Fi password that worked great. I would recommend this property if you’re taking a trip to Nags Head.

We just kept saying how cute this little apartment was! 2 minute walk to the beach. In walking distance to several restaurants, a brewery and shopping. Very clean, nice balcony, and we tried to google where to buy the sofa lol. Great weekend getaway for two.

Pros are: great location, one block from beach access. Mostly well maintained and clean. Easy to access. Cons: There were hairs on the towels, so maybe the cleaning needs to be better. There was a stain on the blanket on the bed. The door to the patio is damaged and light can be seen through the middle of the door. Overall: a fine stay, but the cleaning of towels and sheets can be improved.

Reconnect and Rejuvenate

My husband and I loved everything about this property! The size was perfect for a couple to stay in. I loved the patio deck. I ate my breakfast out there. The quick walk to the beach was amazing ! We got to meet the couple who cleans the property. They were so pleasant to talk to and made sure we had everything we needed. We are already talking about coming back again. Thank you for helping to make our anniversary trip special!

Perfect beach getaway!

One of the best places we've stayed... can't beat the cleanliness and close proximity to beach and other shops/ restaurants. If it hadn't been 1000 degrees, we could have easily walked to several of our favorite destinations. So glad we opted to stay here rather than a motel-we're definitely keeping this one on our list.

Great getaway

Captain's Quarters was a great little place for two to stay. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach as well as the short distance to many other things, I.e. grocery, restaurants, Hwy 158. It's located almost halfway between the Corolla lighthouse and Hatteras lighthouse as well as being very close to Jockey's Ridge and Wright Bros. Memorial.The owners supplied many amenities like shampoo, body wash and creme rinse. Very thoughtful of them.We loved the covered deck!We'd love to go back!

Amply furnished and great location

Overall it's good stay. Clean, amply furnished and close to the beach. Owner was very responsive to inquiries. I docked one star due to the no cancelation policy when I made reservation 3 or 4 weeks in advance. Gave stayed at competitors that allowed cancelation prior to check-in date. No dishwasher. Also the cooling wasn't working properly when we checked in but promptly fixed within a few hours. The shower worked well but could use a grab bar of some kind and traction.

All around good experience

The bedroom, living room and kitchen were just right. It was somewhat light on some of the cleaning essentials (garbage bags, toilet paper, wipes, cleaning spray). But overall it was a great stay!
