This beautiful condo is located right on the oceanfront and has all new flooring and appliances. It has a modern renovation, including all new sofas, chairs, and a dining table. The condo is located on the second floor and sleeps up to six people. It's the perfect retreat for snowbirds, with everything you need to cook and relax.



The Neighborhood:

There is a great Children's Museum nearby and Broadway at the Beach is just up the road. There are two pools both indoor and outdoor and three jacuzzi's, indoor and outdoor. There is great lawn space to lay out on with beach chairs and umbrellas. It has all new furnishings, in the heart of Myrtle Beach, near the Convention Center, many attractions and restaurants are just a short walk away.

No excuse for this to be so late. I had looked at and called other properties before finding this one. I found this one after noticing the prices increased on the other 2 properties right after I inquired about them. I am glad they increased b/c I found this GREAT property! The rental company made me feel welcomed, promptly answered questions, very pleasant and kept in contact to make certain everything was fine with my stay. Big Fish Rentals was a pleasure to work with.Beach directly behind the property. Free shuttle during the summer and the stop was in front of the property.

Nice, quiet off-season winter stay, still plenty of dining options open nearby, even within walking distance. The indoor pool was open and was heated. We tested the water temperature but didn’t actually swim. Many local attractions are open year round, including the aquarium and the Ripley’s museum.

Myrtle beach

First, I stated that I wouldn't email sensitive information over the email. The person in the text told me "If you're not comfortable with it, you can visit our office before 4 pm on your check-in date to verify your reservation. When I arrived at the office at 3:30pm on 6/29, no one was there. I was communicating with someone from Blue Fish Rental via text. Then, the person told me Quinton (Maintenance man) would meet me at the room to verify my information. The room was below average at best. The bathroom water smelled like toilet water when first turned on. There was a bucket of sand toys on the balcony, and the bathroom door screw was loose. You had to push the screw in to close the door. The toiletries were already opened. The balcony door was extremely hard to open and close. The refrigerator wasn't clean. Overall, the room wasn't clean, but the company wants people to leave the room just as clean as they got it. I don't see how the cleaner are cleaning the rooms properly. Thank you.

The rental was clean. I would consider staying again. It is right on the beach view was great though the indoor pool was blocking the property view. I wish the owners would consider better patio furniture as the ones were functional but not great for extended outdoor seating. This may be a function of the property but access to the outdoor pool would also be ideal. The condo was in a perfect spot parking was perfect. I would consider this again. Thank you

Plenty of space

The rooms were pretty good, kitchen was stocked but needs some TLC. There was 1 pan but it was unusable so we had to buy our own. Spatulas need to be purchased as well since most of them have melted tips. Beds and bedding were nice and comfortable as was the living room. Great balcony!

Some issues

Overall nice, but, some ceiling was peeling in two rooms, bathtub was cracked and sunken around drain kind of a slip hazard, bathroom sink was backing up once with a bad smell and we were not even using it.

Mold, Check-In, and Charges

The view might be good but not the room. The check-in process was not smooth, compared to all the other VRBO stays we have had in the past. The shower curtain had mold on it and the room was not clean. After booking we were emails a list of possibly extra charges which we would incur at checkout if we did not comply. For example, not having the TV set to the correct imput channel. We were also also to provide a picture of our credit card, picture of our signature, other personal information prior to arrival. Not knowing who the email sender is we did not send this information to protect our identities. I would NOT RECOMMEND this location/unit.

Good location but could use a new cleaning crew

Upon checking in we wiped down tables and counters and it seems as though the cleaning crew didn’t even touch them. The floors left our feet black and there was trash under the dresser, the couch, and a mess in between the bed and headboards. It was a cheap stay but you felt gross being there. There were mosquitoes in the pool area so our kids couldn’t use it the whole stay. Go ahead and wash the dishes when you get there because they were not clean from the previous guests. I’m not sure what the cleaning crew did. You have a quick hour upon check in to let the owner know if the cleaning crew needs to come back so keep that in mind upon arrival.

Great Location and Price

If you're looking for luxury this is not the place for you. But if you want a comfortable place to stay that's almost perfectly located to access many of the best things Myrtle Beach has to offer, this is the place. The building and the condo itself could use some upgrades, but everything works and the condo was comfortable. The beds were comfortable, and the view of the beach and ocean was nice to see each morning. The bathroom shower/tub was different and took a little getting used too. It's an odd shape and maybe a little small. The quick access to the beach was great, and we liked the pool area too. We didn't have access to the fitness room, which was a little disappointing so I walked along the beach for my workouts. We enjoyed our stay and felt like we got more than we paid, so we would gladly stay here again. There are quite a few rules for leaving the condo, so read everything carefully because there are fees assessed for not following some of them.

Don’t be deceived

Beware of this condo before booking. The pictures make it look like you are getting a good deal. Then you get there, and you will rethink your decision from the moment to pull up. The building (The Palms) is old and run down. You use the code to open the door to get into the lobby. When I say lobby, I mean this small area where you wait for the elevators. The elevators were also run down and dirty. Once you get to your floor, this is like a motel, where you enter the room from the outside. This area made me want to turn around and run. The carpet was dirty, the doors to all the condos looked run down, and there was an area for trash. NOT A TRASH CAN, but an area where you just laid your full trash bags. This was right outside of the condo door. Then you enter the condo. Which looks exactly like the pictures, so I knew what we were expecting as far as looks. The floors were grimy, the bathroom is very small, and sand (and what looked like men’s whiskers) kept appearing in the bathroom sink (no man was with us, I think the sink was just backing up). Then you go out on the balcony. We knew that there was that black rooftop right below us, however, it really is an eye sore. Then you look down at the patios below you and they are filthy (which is out of anyone’s control), but still don’t look appealing. Once you book, you get a list of can and can’t do items that almost make you nervous to stay there. Such as, if you stain the bedding, you will have to pay for it. I was worried when we sat or slept in the bed for fear of this. Another is to be careful about bringing sand into the room. Ok, so I am at the beach all day, I try my best to use the shower outside, but might bring some sand in. Yikes. We didn’t use the kitchen, so I can’t speak to these amenities. The indoor pool looked gross. The outdoor pool wasn’t too bad, just small, and very limited seating. We seriously considered leaving and finding a hotel to stay in, that’s how bad it was. We didn’t care if we lost money, but we stuck it out and dealt with it since it was just a few days. I will never stay here again, and you should reconsider if you are thinking about booking here.

Not as advertised

The building is not in great shape. Upon arriving to our condo, we realized that we were duped. The pictures and description of the property online are not accurate at all. The sink and bathroom were filthy, paper thin comforters on beds, and on the back patio we were dropped on by towels of residents above us—and those next to us smoked, resulting in an inability to take advantage of the view, of which is hindered mostly by the rooftop. Don’t be deceived. We requested a FULL refund and ended up staying at a much nicer place, the Homewood Hilton.

Great little condo for our little family!!

We really enjoyed this condo for our trip to Myrtle Beach! The host was very quick and responsive prior to the trip and was willing to help with anything we needed. I will for sure be looking into this location the next time we visit ☺️☺️☺️

Great Place!

This place was right on the beach with a beautiful view from the balcony. It was clean, had plenty of linens, well equipped in the kitchen, and the beds were comfortable. My only word of caution... the floor in the tub is not flat. There is a slope towards the drain (more than in a normal tub) that could cause a problem for someone with balance issues. The tub was slick from the cleaning or soap and I almost slipped (I don't have any issues with balance).
