"I stay at Shangri-La Sydney regularly for business and usually choose the Horizon Club. However, check-in is almost always delayed. Even though check-in is 3 PM, I’ve had to wait until after 4 PM multiple times, including this visit. What’s disappointing is not just the delay, but the unprofessional attitude and lack of concern. "The location was amazing but also led to the downside of my stay. I stayed 8 nights for a work trip and whilst I loved the small kitchenette and living area, I found the bed and pillows uncomfortable, the temperature hard to control properly (woke up cold repeatedly), and the street noise from the light rail, sirens, and general street noise (roadworks, people socialising) woke me often. I thought I’d use the pool but didn’t (is is next to and visible from reception). My fav pick for Sydney CBD...

Drove up and the man on reception said we had to move the car immediately, meaning we’d have to drag our large suitcases and multiple bags a long distance after hours of travelling. Furthermore, the parking was $77 a night, which is extremely expensive. Then after having to take all our bags such a way, there was no concierge and we had to struggle to take all the luggage to the room. Spa facilities were small and became cramped quickly.
