"Very nice hotel. Probably the top one in the area. Great garden, clean room, nice furniture. Areas to improve: the desk was a little small. The bedroom door was heavy & knob was in a strange location - you may get your fingers trapped if you are closing the door without thinking."

"This is a wonderful thatched roof hotel, so old and quaint. Beds were super comfortable, room clean if a bit dated. The pub was wonderful, food was great. Highly recommend for authentic english experience."

"I booked this for my family during my wedding and wow is all i can say. The soace was stunning and Harriet and Giles just could not do enough for us. I was blown away by theirckindness and generosity. To the point at which they let us put my wedding cake in the fridge. Honestly the best hosts ive ever had. Thanks so much guys i know it trueky meant the world to my mum. "

"Beautiful hotel and surroundings. Really friendly staff. Great for guests with pets. Great information on arrival. Slept great. Even though there were lots of guests it was very quiet. Would definitely stay here again and recommend other people to stay here."

"The George Inn was an excellent choice for our first night in England, due to its proximity to Stonehenge and the reasonable cost. All staff were attentive and helpful. We enjoyed a late afternoon walk on the country lanes of Middle Wallop. I want to mention a few things that did not bother us but may matter to other potential guests: - Room ("the family room"): because it was directly above the pub, we could hear music clearly through the floor until the pub closed. "The property is beautifully designed. It is compact but well planned out and very tasteful. Everything you need is there. The breakfast basket is delightful! The cottage is attractive and in a lovely location. It is so easy to just walk across the road for dinner. We loved it!!"

"Only two words of advice - stay here. The staff is super helpful, the rooms are comfy, and the setting is beautiful. Enjoyed a lovely walk on the trails leading from the Inn past farms, a pond, horses. Met the most delightful locals along the way. Clean and comfy with a delightful "pub" restaurant."

"Easy check in and the hostess was friendly and helpful. The room had pretty much anything you could wish for in it. Very well equipped room, lovely linen and a super comfy bed with different firmness of pillows. Nespresso machine, mini fridge, DAB radio, large TV, Dyson fan, Iron, Hairdrier, all great! Checkout was easy the next day. Just a shame we couldn’t have stayed for longer and made better use of everything. Many thanks! "

"Clean and comfortable. The condition let it down a little, e.g. badly damaged headboard, it would be easy to replace. Also the rooms are in the car park and cars are right outside the downstairs rooms’ windows. With an eye mask I got a good nights sleep and the pub is lovely, people friendly and the breakfast is very good. "

"Very welcoming and friendly staff. Food was excellent. Hot water took a while to come through in the bathroom but once it arrived it was fine and did not get cooler. We will certainly return"
