"My family and I had a brief stay for a few appointments as we live over four hours away from Pittsburgh. We were so happy with our stay at the Crowne Plaza. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were always so happy and welcoming. Very peaceful and the beds were super comfy! We come to Pitt often and this hotel will be our new go to hotel. A+ in my book."

"Breakfast is good, just don’t have many choices. The room is clean, parking is safe."

"The room I stayed in was suppose to be smoke free, it smelled like smoke, which attacked my allergies. Due to that I will not stay there again. I even told the front desk and all she said was I will let them know. I stayed because it was after 1am when I got there, tired and needed rest to function. The facility need updated carpet in elevator looked so dingy and room carpet too, "

The front-desk lady seemed a little frazzled and appeared to to be struggling with the computer system, but eventually we got our keycards. Holiday Inn Express is our favorite one-night hotel to stay at when we are on road trips due to consistent experience and good value."

However, the “contactless reception” model ended up being a major drawback. There was effectively no staff available at any point during our stay. While a contact number was provided, it took two full days—after we had already checked out—to receive a response. That’s not just inconvenient; it makes it impossible to resolve even...
