"This place was a true gem, gorgeous grounds and a stunning historical building with 12 foot ceilings and huge windows. The beds were comfortable and the bath very clean, we loved the tropical flowers and plants and enjoyed a fantastic Italian meal at the restaurant. The decor was tasteful and inviting. Everyone was very nice and helpful, we wish we could have stayed longer to explore Lugano but we had a train to catch in the morning. "

"We had a great stay at Hotel Firenze Lugano! The receptionist was so sweet and welcoming, which set a really nice tone for our visit. The location was perfect for us — we walked the Olive Trail to Gandria right from the hotel, and it was a beautiful and manageable distance. We also ate at the onsite restaurant and really enjoyed it — the food was lovely and the atmosphere was relaxed. "This was one of the best rentals I have ever stayed in in my life- and I have travelled a lot! Often when you rent a place, upon arrival you discover that the photos were taken at a misleading angle, or that something about the place is not really as nice as it was spelled out to be. "What a relaxing, wonderful stay. The team were so friendly and helpful. There are some lovely touches. One thing we missed was not having breakfast in a restaurant, here it’s lovely but room service each day. We will be back!"

"We loved staying in this hotel with its unique history and beautiful decor. It is a special place in a wonderful location and we had fabulous views from our balcony. The walk to Morcote took under 30 minutes with lovely views but you need to wear trainers as the path is uneven. We also enjoyed walking to the castle through the vineyards and exploring lake Lugano by bus and boat. We tended to get Uber taxi’s back up to to hotel as it was a steep climb ( cost 18CHF) "
