"The staff were great. It was quiet and away from the freeway. We had the unfortunate room right above the “smoking area” and we would get the cigarette smell through our a/c unit. I would suggest moving it. A refurbished building, very well done, but no elevator for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. Continental breakfast was ok."

"I had requested two rooms with two queen size beds each. Upon arrival, we were given one room with two beds & one room with a king size bed. No excuse, I was told that that was how it was transmitted. (not correct). In our room, there was only one hand towel and one face towel. Two bath towels only. "This was the worst experience I ever had at a hotel. Walked into the room and it smelled like cigarette smoke the toilet was not cleaned and had splatter in it. If that wasn’t enough the water did not work and was unable to take a shower. Asked for a refund and was given the run around and ultimately given a whopping 9 dollar. Avoid This hotel at all costs. There are many others to choose from don’t choose this one "

"Very kind and helpful staff. Upgraded us to a king from a queen for free because they had extra space. It’s definitely an old property and has a little wear and tear, but every inch of our room was cleaned very well and they had every amenity we needed for our short stay. There are multiple restaurants and stores in walking distance, Walmart is right across the street. It was an ideal location for us, and we felt safe and comfortable. "Our stay was wonderful. Friendly staff, that were helpful and courteous. My only suggestion is to have shirts to sell with the logo of California behind the desk. I would have purchased one…or two. Thank you for a great stay."

"We stayed here to be near Toyota Amp. for a concert. The front desk guy was rude. He mumbled then got extremely irritated when I politely asked him to repeat himself. "Okay so. Staff were kind and friendly so I was conflicted when writing this review. I reserved 2 rooms. 1 was fine but the other smelled like mildew. We kept the bathroom fan running and the window ajar but couldn’t escape the odor. Possible the room was closed up after shampooing carpets, not sure. "We were visiting in town to visit some family in Yuba City and found this hotel that was perfect for a weekend stay. The beds are very comfortable and the space and all was good. The only down fall there was is that the sink would clog up fast and when trying to see what was as in there’s it look like hairs and mold. As well seen a old molded muffin under one of the tables in the room looks like it had been there for awhile. After leaving the last day I did inform that to the front desk about...
