"Our stay at Sierra House was great. We were visiting over the July 4th holiday and stayed in their new buildings. The forest view was stunning from the top floor and the rooms were brand new, clean and very tastefully decorated. It’s close to a lot of restaurants and entertainment, and has a great spa on the property with a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Allie, the front desk staff was also really great!

"My wife and I rented this lovely little cabin for 3 nights and would have loved to stay 3 more. The history is super cool and there are a bunch of items and memorabilia on the walls relating to the cabin making for a really unique experience. Don’t expect it to feel like a modern hotel room. It’s rustic and as original to its 100 year old roots as it can be. If you like the rustic though you’ll love this place. "Bring earplugs &/or white noise. You’re sharing a home with the hosts, so sounds from their living area leak past interior doors.
Kudos to them for being willing to share an attached dwelling with strangers — I don’t think I could!
Other things to be aware of:
You may be charged $25 extra if unable to check in at the appointed time.
The short access road is bumpy, dusty gravel. Otherwise, all routes are paved.
Room was very clean and nicely appointed. It was nice to meet their dogs and cats...
