"Hotel is dated but not bad. Staff was nice friendly lady at the front counter. Weird smell in the lobby but not too bad. Took the elevator to the second floor where our room was and when the doors opened I was taken back by the suffocating smell of cigarettes and fried chicken. If we stayed two nights I probably would have picked up a can of febreeze and left it for them. "I didn’t know that IHG has such poorly maintained facilities in this area. Rooms were dingy and carpet is very old. Elevator was not working at all but as we called to the property twice luckily we got the rooms on main floor especially as my MIL is 90! Bathrooms are small, only tub shower so difficult for older people. No coffee pods but only tea pods in room. Definitely need a few upgrades"
