"Staff was super helpful. Elevator broke during the start of the heat wave which was rough.
Also fyi their cheapest room is a windowless studio on the first floor. The bathroom area is one room with a shower toilet and sink with no further separation."

"Honestly had the best time at PUBLIC. Everything about the hotel was practical & it was so comfortable. The staff members, especially Harry & Payton, were very accommodating throughout our visit. The hotel has SO many amenities that are worth checking out. The whole space is very aesthetically pleasing. Make sure you check out the cafe on the ground floor. Everything was 10/10. They have robes & slippers upon request. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!"

"Loved the hotel but was disappointed that the bar was hardly open. Both after dinner and during the afternoon.
The scent when we walked in was magical and made me feel like I was walking into a spa.
Downside was the alarm testing on Sunday morning early after a late night out but it has to be done for safety. Great location and it was incredibly quiet in our room considering how close it was to Times Square.
Will definitely stay here again!"

"Wonderful hotel with very nice staff, easy check in and check out, clean, large room that lacked for nothing except a fridge. I love the location on the upper west side, near to the natural history museum and Central Park. Nice Matin offers nice meals throughout the day with a hotel discount. The price is half what the same room would be on the east side. They do not have valet parking but the parking lot they recommend gives a big discount if you are staying at the Lucerne. "

"After check-in it took 20 minutes to access one of three elevators,upon entry to room it had a foul odor,food was left in the small fridge/cooler which was off,we were gagging from the smell. After several calls to a rude associate we finally git a new room.The rooms walls are paper thin could hear normal conversations of people next door, hallway was echo noisy. Will NOT stay here again!!!"

It’s a short walk to all of the SoHo hotspots for shopping and eating. We’ll absolutely be back and looking into staying at their other locations too."
