"The night staff's English was very difficult to understand and she was fairly brusque and not overly helpful. I felt like she would rather have been elsewhere than at the desk helping customers. There is no elevator in the hotel and we had a lot of bags, some containing valuable items, and we were not comfortable with storing them with the staff, so wound up schlepping about 7 heavy bags up and down stairs. The morning staff was very pleasant and efficient. Not one of our better stays at Coast...

"Any Hyatt hotel will always be my first choice for my staycations. Hyatt Place has always been good to me. Stayed here a few times & have never had a problem. Check-in is always smooth. Room is just right. Noise level is minimal. Breakfast is always fulfilling, maybe add some flavored creamers (that would be great). All in all, I’ve no complaints. "

"We were swimming in the pool, then a group of 18 local people were let in by a staff member. They were dressed in street clothes, brought towels from home, and since the group was so large we were pushed out of the pool. Very disheartening for paying $500+ for the weekend and unable to utilize the pool because a staff member let their family and friends in. They also do not provide daily housekeeping (clean towels, beds made, etc) during a 3 day stay. There are also a TON of homeless people...

"We were locked outside at 11:30 pm for close to an hour. I had left the key card in the room. I was told if that happened there was going to be a night security person. He came for work when we were locked out and also couldn't get into the building. He was very nice and really tried every option but I had a child with me and a flight to catch. He was eventually able ro get a guest who could hear the pounding to let us in the lobby. He didn't know how to make us a key and wasn't able to get...

"Everything was perfect. Beds were comfortable, great water pressure, everything was spotless, excellent hot breakfast. Wonderful pool and hot tub. I wouldn't stay anywhere else! "
