"Historical spaces inside the Hotel were fun to investigate and provided an insight into the history of the property and its role in the city of Red Wing. Restaurants onsite were very good. Proximity to AMTRAK makes for an interesting commuting option. Train noises were loud at times. Quirky property overall, mostly in a good way. Overall the rates are a bit pricey. That said we will likely return when we can get a deal."

"Amazing stay in the deep south with a fantastic host."

"Great parking for a fee. Felt very safe. Nice pool. Wished for a day bar. We had a balcony to enjoy with the great weather. In hotter days, i would not. Hitel is one block from two restaurants, one pricey, the wine barrel, and one, miderate, the Louisiana purchase pizza. We ate twice there. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Free wifi. "

"I had a very pleasant experience. Staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast bar was always clean and stocked. The room was spacious and clean. I would highly recommend."

"Nice place with nice views. Comfy bed. Everything works. The trains going by and blasting their horns makes for an early morning. A bizarre thing we discovered when we got here is that all the restaurants in the area are cash only. No credit cards. Even many restaurants across the river in Prairie du Chein had a cash only notice posted on their doors."

"We have stayed at this Best Western a number of times. While still a solid option at a fair price, the room was not as well kept, furnishings needed replacement, breakfast was not good. The hotel staff is excellent ablnd the attached Chili's is super."

"They had stove and refigerator no dishes no pots and pans i bought food to make breakfast i didnt check before buyingfood when i went to check and there wasnt anything to cook with "

"There was a woman that was yelling all night. She woke me up 4 times during the night. Someone was smoking in the elevator. The city of Vicksburg was very run down. There was the smell of smoke and weed throughout the city."
