Very disappointed at this Holiday in the French Quarter.
Upon checking in, the front desk person ask me for a credit car tu put a $300 deposit; which is standard for the hotel industry to cover any charges the gust may incur while the stay duration.
After reviewing my room key I was given an “Amenity Bag” which contained the following items :
A rubber bottle with its own cap to carry water or whatever liquid to carry around, which I thought, that’s great item.
Also included in the amenity bag I found 5 vouchers worth $15 each as credit to use in their restaurant for food and beverages; My stay at this hotel was 5 nights so I was excited about that thinking I could save money for breakfast or lunch; I only got to use 4 of them because needless to say the food was not good at all considering the large amount of excellent restaurants in New Orleans. Everything on their menu was a la carte even syrup was a la carte; the staff at teje restaurant was not good either, slow forgetful and just plain unfriendly.
The worst part of these “Amenity Vouchers “ is that at the end of my stay upon checking out I was given a print out receipt of some charges totaling $145.95 upon looking at the receipt I saw that charged me $25 for amenity fee for the bag I received when I checked in.
$25 per each night I stayed there, plus $25 for the usage of their concierge who booked a city tour bus for me plus taxes of course.
I do have a picture of the receipt.
