"This hotel is very old and dated, which would have been okay if it had been clean, but it was not. The room smelled unpleasant odors, with a sewage smell coming from the kitchen sink. There was a dead cockroach on the floor, mold in the bathroom, sticky furniture, and hair and stains on the walls. The room felt more like an old apartment that had not been properly cleaned or maintained in decades. The reviews and photos did not match our experience. The pool was green and appeared not to be open...

"The room was clean, the door was hard to shut, constant bugs in the room, large ones and smaller ones. unfortunately, the hotel cannot supervise all guests that stay but lots of labour workers that stay here and are up late and leave at 5am to load their trucks to go to work. "I stayed at a Days Inn in another state years ago and it was clean, so I booked three nights at this College Station location. We arrived and checked in around 10 pm. Once we got into the room, we saw roaches everywhere. We left immediately and headed back to the front desk, stating we could not stay there. "I gave an overall Ok rating because one of the reasons we stay at an Embassy Suites is the happy hour and breakfasts. Both mornings clean plates, utensils and tables were scarce. Food on the buffet was always low. Food was very good and courteous and staff where clearly working hard but they were very under staffed. Room was great and clean. Would recommend."

"We were in town for one night after a late basketball game and just needed a place to wash up and sleep. The hotel isn’t new, but it was clean. There was a slight stale smell when we first walked into the room, but I carry Lysol, and once I sprayed the surfaces and beds, it wasn’t noticeable anymore. "Pillow had lots of visible hair (not mine) on it and I noticed it as soon as I got into the room. The front desk staff was apologetic and provided me with new pillows. I checked in at night so it seemed that maybe housekeeping had left for the day already and I was asked to go to the lobby to receive the replacement pillows.
